    摘要: A fan unit for an air-conditioned garment, wherein the fan unit takes external air into an interspace between the garment and a wearer's body, the fan unit including: a fan that blows external air into the interior of the garment; a motor that rotates the fan; a battery that supplies power to the motor; a charging terminal for charging the battery; and a power switch to start and stop the fan unit, wherein the fan, the motor and the battery are housed in a casing, the casing has an air intake port that takes in external air, and an air blowing port that blows the taken-in external air into the interior of the garment, the charging terminal and the power switch are provided on the exterior of the casing, and the casing has a thickness of 5 to 30 mm in an axial direction of the fan.

    摘要: A compressor is described which includes a non-axial first rotor, and a second rotor disposed immediately downstream from the first rotor and being co-axial therewith about a longitudinal axis of rotation. The second rotor rotates in a direction opposite the non-axial first rotor to discharge fluid flow into an uninterrupted passage between an outlet of the second rotor and one of a downstream combustor or a further compression stage. The uninterrupted passage is free of a diffusing passage. A gas turbine engine including such a compressor and a method of compressing fluid flow is also described.

    摘要: An electronic device includes a fan field replaceable unit (FRU). The fan FRU includes a fan FRU chassis defining an airflow pathway through the fan FRU. A fan within the fan FRU chassis causes air to flow along the airflow pathway. The fan FRU further includes an edge connector located at a front face of the fan FRU out of the way of the airflow pathway. Accordingly, the edge connector does not block airflow through the fan FRU thus maximizing the efficiency of the fan FRU and the cooling of the electronic device.
