    摘要: A pumping system configured to recover wellbore fluids from a wellbore includes an electric motor that has a motor head, a pothead receiving bore within the motor head, a motor insulator block within the motor head, and a stator lead within the motor insulator block. The pumping system further includes a motor lead cable and a pothead connector connected between the motor head and the motor lead cable. The pumping system includes a hermetically fused pothead-to-motor connection at an interface between the pothead connector and the motor head that obviates the need for conventional elastomeric seals at the interface between the pothead connector and the motor head.

    摘要: Disclosed is a self-priming fluid transfer system having an integral siphon line that draws trapped air bubbles out of a main fluid chamber over time and fluid cycles. The self-priming fluid transfer system may include a body structure and a siphon line. The body structure may include a chamber inlet and a chamber outlet. The main fluid chamber may receive and output fluid from the chamber inlet and the chamber outlet, respectively. The siphon line may be positioned at the periphery of the main fluid chamber and may include a priming inlet and a siphon outlet. The priming inlet may be positioned at or near a top wall of the body structure and may receive air bubbles from the main fluid chamber. The siphon outlet may be positioned at the chamber outlet and may output the air bubbles at the chamber outlet. Other examples may be described and claimed.

    摘要: A seal section for use in a downhole submersible pumping system includes a lower chamber, an upper chamber and an intermediate guide section between the lower chamber and the upper chamber. The lower chamber includes a seal bag assembly that has a seal bag containing motor oil and an exterior space around the seal bag that contains high density oil that is denser than the motor oil. The upper chamber includes a volume of the high density oil at the bottom of the upper chamber and a gravity trap connected to the exterior space through an intermediate passage in the intermediate guide section. The gravity trap includes an opening submerged in the volume of high density oil in the upper chamber.
