摘要: A hub assembly includes an inner rotatable hub having inboard and outboard axial ends, a radial flange extending outwardly from the outboard axial end and connectable with the wheel, an inner circumferential surface, and an opposing outer circumferential surface providing inboard and outboard inner races. An outer hub is disposed about the inner hub, connectable with the chassis and has inboard and outboard axial ends, an outer circumferential surface and an inner circumferential surface. The inner surface provides inboard and outboard outer races and a central surface section extending between the two outer races. First and second sets of rolling elements are disposed between the inner and outer races. One or more sensors are each disposed on the central surface section of the outer hub and are each configured to sense strain within the outer hub generated by the rolling elements.

Each gear tooth of the plurality of gear teeth includes a first flank surface extending substantially radially from the annular base, a top land surface extending substantially in the axial direction, and a chamfered surface between the top land surface and first flank surface. The chamfered surface includes a first arc with a first radius in a range of 0.1 to 0.15 times the gear module of the bearing ring. The first arc has a point of tangency with the first flank surface. The chamfered surface has length P extending in the radial direction between the point of tangency and the top land surface, and P is in the range of 0.1 to 0.15 times the gear module of the bearing ring.

摘要: A method for producing bearing components includes providing a first bearing component, a second bearing component, a first production line, and a second production line. The first production line has a first grinding machine, a first honing machine, a first measuring unit, and a first conveyor unit. The second production line has a second grinding machine, a second honing machine, and a second conveyor unit. The method also includes grinding and honing the first bearing component, measuring a first dimension of the first bearing component, grinding and honing the second bearing component, and combining the first bearing component and the second bearing component to form a roller bearing or a slide bearing. The first production line and the second production line are operated in a synchronized manner such that the second grinding machine or the second honing machine is operated under closed-loop control using the first dimension.

摘要: A heterogeneous composite consisting of near-nano ceramic clusters dispersed within a ductile matrix. The composite is formed through the high temperature compaction of a starting powder consisting of a core of ceramic nanoparticles held together with metallic binder. This core is clad with a ductile metal such that when the final powder is consolidated, the ductile metal forms a tough, near-zero contiguity matrix. The material is consolidated using any means that will maintain its heterogeneous structure.

The inner ring includes a plurality of first passages, a second passage and a channel that extends axially into the inner ring. The first passages are arranged circumferentially around the axis. The first passages respectively extend axially through the inner ring from a plurality of first passage inlets to the channel. The second passage includes a second passage inlet that is substantially axially aligned with one of the first passage inlets. The second passage extends radially through the inner ring to a second passage outlet.
