摘要: The invention relates to a wheel end assembly for a vehicle, comprising a central wheel support member such as a spindle or a steering knuckle, and an outboard wheel end bearing arranged concentrically around the central wheel support member. The outboard wheel end bearing comprises roller elements accommodated between an inner race-forming part and an outer race-forming part surrounding the inner race-forming part. The inner race-forming part is configured to be supported by the central wheel support member. The central wheel support member comprises a first rotational lock portion. The inner race-forming part comprises a second rotational lock portion configured to engage with the first rotational lock portion to prevent the inner race-forming part from rotating relative to the central wheel support member. The invention also relates to a vehicle comprising such a wheel end assembly.

Moreover, the shape memory alloy damper includes a plurality of sleeves. One or more sleeves of the plurality of sleeves include a shape memory alloy material.

摘要: A main bearing assembly of a wind turbine includes at least one main bearing with a rotation axis and at least one bearing row in which a rotor shaft of the wind turbine is mounted. The main bearing assembly has at least one stationary bearing ring, a circulating bearing ring and rolling elements. A method of extending the service life or servicing the main bearing assembly includes rotating the stationary bearing ring about the rotation axis of the main bearing assembly. Alternatively, only a new stationary bearing ring, preferably with at least two bearing ring segments is installed instead of a damaged outer ring, in particular without further important bearing components such as the inner ring being exchanged.

A bearing outer ring is disposed about the inner ring and has an inner circumferential surface providing at least one outer raceway, first and second axial ends, an annular recess extending axially inwardly from the first axial end, and a plurality of threaded mounting holes extending axially-inwardly from the recess and spaced circumferentially about the central axis. An annular damper is disposed within the recess and a plurality of threaded fasteners each extend from the stator, through the damper and into a separate one of the plurality of threaded mounting holes to connect the bearing outer ring with the stator.
