    Abstract: A gear connection structure included in a drive device of a document conveyance device includes: a rotary shaft extending in an axial direction thereof; a parallel pin inserted through a pin hole formed in the rotary shaft, the pin hole passing through the rotary shaft in a radial direction thereof orthogonal to the axial direction; a gear; and a biasing member. The gear includes: a shaft hole through which the rotary shaft is passed; and a pin groove inside which the parallel pin is placed. The biasing member biases the parallel pin placed inside the pin groove from a separate wall being one of a pair of walls of the pin groove toward a contacting wall being the other of the pair of walls to press the parallel pin against the contacting wall and against a side of an inner periphery of the pin hole close to the contacting wall.

    Abstract: Methods and systems are described for a gearbox lockout device. It may be desirable in certain vehicles to lock a drive shaft within a gearbox for a period of time. Lockout embodiments under the present disclosure include a shaft configured to selectively engage the drive shaft via teeth. An inner and outer collar surrounding the shaft can be manipulated to restrict the movement of the shaft once the shaft's teeth are engaged with the teeth of the drive shaft. The system can be torqued up and locked in place. This can allow for more safe transporting of the vehicle, easier maintenance, or other advantages.

    Abstract: A shaft-and-gear arrangement includes a shaft having a longitudinal axis of rotation, a first portion having an outer diameter, a second portion, and a third portion axially between the first portion and second portions. A first gear is formed either integrally with the second portion of the shaft or has a circumferential inner surface secured to an outer surface of the second portion of the shaft. The first gear has a first subportion having a maximum outer diameter of the first gear and a second subportion having a radially outer surface having a maximum outer diameter less than the maximum outer diameter of the first gear, and the second subportion includes a first axially facing abutment surface.     Abstract: A planet carrier assembly includes a shaft and a planet carrier with a first carrier side plate. The shaft includes an axially aligned axis of rotation, a guide surface, and an axial stop axially adjacent to the guide surface.
