摘要： A petroleum pipeline safety system for preventing contamination of an environmentally sensitive area close to a pipeline is provided. The system includes a first portion of the pipeline including an upstream portion of the pipeline supplying a flow of fluid material and a flow restriction downstream of the first portion of the pipeline. The system further includes a second portion of the pipeline downstream of the flow restriction, receiving the flow of fluid material from the first portion and conveying the flow of fluid material through the environmentally sensitive area to a downstream portion of the pipeline. The flow restriction is configured to create a lower pipeline internal pressure within the second portion as compared to a pipeline internal pressure within the first portion. The system further includes a third portion of the pipeline downstream of the environmentally sensitive area and including the downstream portion of the pipeline.

摘要： A pressure relief valve includes a valve body, a valve seat, a bonnet, and a valve actuator. The valve body has an open top, a bottom, a back and a front with a cavity formed within. A cap with a first vent is removably attached to the open top. An inlet opening and a discharge opening are in fluid communication with the cavity is formed at the bottom and front of the valve body respectively. The valve seat is circumferentially disposed around the inlet opening within the cavity. A recessed area is formed on a surface on the distal end of the valve seat that is configured to receive a lip seal. The bonnet has a closed top end with a second vent. The valve actuator is coupled within the bonnet to a set-pressure enabling means that is not a mechanical spring.

The regulator includes a sense pressure port, wherein pressure at the port is maintained constant by the regulator. A chamber has a first entry orifice, a second entry orifice and an exit orifice. The first entry orifice is connected to the upstream side, the second entry orifice is connected to the downstream side, and the exit orifice is connected to the port. The exit orifice provides that the pressure at the exit orifice lies between the pressure at the first entry orifice and the pressure at the second entry orifice.

摘要： A one-way valve to control the release of pressurized gas from within a sealed container through a venting aperture. The valve comprises a layer of flexible material having an upper and a lower surface with a portion of the upper surface adhered to a surface of the container and overlaying the venting aperture. A channel is defined by a portion of the container and an adjacent portion of the flexible material which has not been adhered to the container. The channel is in communication with the venting aperture and an exhaust gas aperture in the layer of flexible material. The channel is operable between a closed and an open configuration upon gas pressure within the container exceeding a predetermined limit. When open the channel permits gas to flow from said container into the exterior atmosphere. When closed the channel restricts the flow of gas between the venting aperture and exhaust gas aperture.

The pressure relief valve cooperates with the vacuum relief valve to maintain a predetermined range of pressure differential between the first opening and the second opening.
