摘要: A double wire lip hook is provided. The double wire lip hook may be used for electrical power line work by helicopter or crane, in which closely spaced pairs of wires are used. The double wire lip hook may also be used for single wires and other lifting and pulling tasks. The example double wire lip hook has a geometry designed for high strength, maintaining a substantial cross-sectional area of metal or alloy throughout its profile. The double wire lip hook provides dual opposing hooks with wide throats cambered for wires. Dual tapers in a vertical shank member provide a large gape opening for each hook and keep loads on either side close to the vertical lifting axis for improved stability. Features such as one or more support ribs add to lifting strength and resistance to yield failure.

The method may be implemented by a processor of a smart gas device management platform of an Internet of Things system for installing a gas pipeline compensator of smart gas and may include: obtaining a pipeline feature and an estimated operation feature of a target pipeline; generating an estimated stretching and contracting feature of the target pipeline based on the pipeline feature and the estimated operation feature; and generating an installation parameter of the compensator based on the estimated stretching and contracting feature, wherein the installation parameter at least includes a device parameter of the compensator.

The first, second and third seals open and close in a particular order to allow or prevent fluid from flowing through the stem.

A visual indicium can be located on only one of the axial-facing surfaces. 摘要: A pipe pulling technique where an adaptor is attached to the end of the pipe prior to the pipe being pulled underground, for example through a drilled hole. Attaching the adaptor to the pipe end prior to the pipe being pulled underground is faster and reduces danger to workers compared to the conventional process of attaching the adaptor to the end of the pipe after the pipe has been pulled underground.

摘要: A borehole pipe protection apparatus includes a sheet of material having an inner surface and an outer surface and a longitudinal direction and a width direction defined by two edges of the sheet along the longitudinal direction. A fastening structure is configured to join the two edges to form a seam as the sheet of material is wrapped in the width direction around a pipe that is configured to be installed into the borehole to form a sock along the longitudinal direction. The sock is configured to be installed in the borehole with the pipe about which it is wrapped, yet to remain for a service life in non-bonding contact with the pipe. A method for protecting pipe during and after insertion into a borehole is also described.

摘要: Methods and apparatus for cutting a trench (e.g., for a fiber optic cable or wire conductors) in an existing covering surface (e.g., a road surface), wherein the trench has a depth of approximately 10 to 12 inches and a width of approximately 0.5 to 1.25 inches. Debris from the cut trench is evacuated (e.g., vacuumed) from the trench as the trench is cut. The trench may be backfilled by flowing a non-shrinking composition into at least a portion of the trench and, after hardening of the non-shrinking composition, applying a topping material to a remaining portion of the trench. In one example, the non-shrinking composition is configured to rigidify within one hour of being flowed into the trench, be substantially impermeable thereafter (e.g., having a hydraulic permeability of less than 0.0000001 cm/s upon drying), and be non-compressible and non-expanding.
