摘要: A combustion method for controlling and monitoring exhaust gas emissions in boilers is provided. The combustion method comprises the following steps: providing a liquid fuel in a boiler, burning the liquid fuel under atmospheric pressure; measuring a first combustion temperature in the boiler, and monitoring an initial concentration of a first exhaust gas in the boiler; adding a combustion improver to the boiler in batches and monitoring an emission concentration of the first exhaust gas in the boiler, wherein the emission concentration is less than the initial concentration; and repeating the above steps, and monitoring the boiler until a second combustion gas is generated, stop adding the combustion improver, and measuring the temperature in the boiler as a second combustion temperature, and reducing the amount of the combustion improver to avoid the generation of the second exhaust gas.

摘要: A compensator, system, and method of controlling airflow through a fired heater or furnace. The compensator has a stationary plate disposed across the burner intake and a movable plate disposed adjacent to the stationary plate that is movable between first and second lateral positions to control the airflow through the intake. In the first lateral position, second openings of the movable plate are at least partially aligned with first openings of the stationary plate, thereby defining a first level of airflow through the intake. In the second lateral position, the second openings of the movable plate are at least partially misaligned with the first openings of the stationary plate, thereby defining a second level of airflow through the intake. The airflow through the intake at the second level is less than the air flow through the intake at the first level.

摘要: A gas burner comprises an automatic firing unit for regulating or controlling an amount of gas supplied to the gas burner via a gas control valve and a lambda probe (1) arranged in the exhaust gas flow for measuring a residual oxygen content in the exhaust gas. A method for operating the gas burner comprises a first operating state in which the gas burner is operated in standard mode, wherein the residual oxygen content in the exhaust gas is regulated via the measured value of the lambda probe (1). According to the invention, in a second operating state, the gas burner performs a fault test on the lambda probe (1) involving the steps of: deactivating (S18) a supply of power to a pump cell (PZ) of the lambda probe (1); determining a present test voltage (h) of a measurement cell (NZ) of the lambda probe (1); comparing (S25) the present test voltage (h) with a predefined test setpoint voltage (i) and determining a difference; and if the difference exceeds a predefined limit value, performing a safety deactivation (S29); or if the difference does not exceed the predefined limit value, operating the gas burner in the first operating state.

摘要: Measuring a concentration of at least one target species is described. A first and second tunable diode laser are configured to generate laser light at a respective wavelength different from one another. A pitch head comprising a transmitting optic is optically coupled to the first and second tunable diode lasers via distal ends of the first and second optical fibers, and is oriented to project respective beams from each of the first and second distal ends through a measurement zone. A photodetector is configured to detect an optical power of light in the first and second wavelengths. A catch head located across the measurement zone from the pitch head is in optical communication with the pitch head to receive the respective beams from the first and second distal ends and direct the respective beams to the photodetector.

摘要: A method for analyzing or optimizing the operation of waste incinerator systems. The content of CO2 is measured in the exhaust gas and is used to determine the ratio of biogenic carbon to fossil carbon in the incinerated waste, if necessary after resetting to the CO2 reference quantity. The variability of the CO2 reference or the ratio of biogenic carbon to fossil carbon in the incinerated waste is determined and recorded according to quantity and duration. When optimizing the operation, the location of the waste in the bunker, from which the incinerated waste originates with a composition or variability that has now been ascertained using the method, is used to further remove or mix the waste.

摘要: Systems and methods operate to infer a fuel composition in a combustion system. The fuel composition may be inferred by receiving measured operating parameters including one or more of fuel data defining fuel characteristics used in combustion within a heater of the combustion system, emissions data defining emission gasses exiting the heater, airflow data defining ambient air being supplied to the heater and airflow rate of the air within the heater. One or more relationships within the measured operating parameters may be identified that result in a list of potential fuel compositions. One of the potential fuel compositions from the list may be selected having sufficient likelihood of resulting in the measured operating parameters as an inferred fuel composition. The output the inferred fuel composition to a heater controller of the combustion system and used for automatic control thereof.

摘要: A method and an assembly for controlling an internal combustion engine having multiple burners is provided. Combustion measurement data is collected in a burner-specific manner for each burner and assigned to a burner identification identifying the respective burner. Performance measurement data of the internal combustion engine is also collected and used to determine a performance value. A machine learning model is trained by means of the combustion measurement data, the associated burner identifications and the performance measurement data, to generate burner-specific control data which optimizes the performance value when the burners are actuated in a burner-specific manner using the control data. The control data generated by the trained machine learning model is output for the burner-specific actuation of the burners.
