Abstract: A boiler (1) comprising: (i) a tank unit (10), which extends along a prevailing development axis (X) and which delimits a tank compartment (2) configured to store a volume of liquid up to a predefined level (L); wherein the tank unit (10) comprises a neck (4) delimiting an access opening (6) to the tank compartment (2); (ii) a heating unit (2) at least partially inserted inside the tank compartment (2) through the access opening (6); wherein said heating unit (20) comprises at least one heat exchange wall (8) made of thermally conductive material, at least one heat exchanger (12) comprising a liquid inlet (14) and a liquid outlet (16) in fluid communication with the tank compartment (2); and at least one burner (18) for heating the liquid in the heat exchanger (12); wherein the heat exchange wall (8) is arranged mainly or completely below the predefined level (L), circumscribes a heat exchange compartment separate from the tank compartment (2) and delimits a gas outlet (24). Said burner (18) and said heat exchanger (12) are housed in the heat exchange compartment (22).

Abstract: A plumbing system pressure protection valve assembly that utilizes a unitary body to connect a hot water tank to a cold water supply, a vacuum breaker, and an expansion tank. The assembly includes two ball valves coupled to the unitary body to isolate the hot water tank from the cold water feed and to isolate and permit draining of the expansion tank. The assembly also includes a rod and foot coupled to a tab on the unitary body to provide support for the expansion tank service valve assembly.

Abstract: A water heating and treatment system includes a water heater, a hot water outflow line from the water heater, and a cold water supply line to supply water to the water heater. The cold water supply line includes at least one of an anti-scale device, and a UV sanitation lamp. A mixing station supplies a temperature regulated heated water to one or multiple temperature zones. A mixing station supplies heated water to at least a first temperature zone at a first hot water temperature. The water heater, the anti-scale device, the UV sanitation lamp and the mixing station are contained in a single enclosure having at least one sliding transparent wall through which components can be viewed. A plurality of pipe connections passing through a rear panel of said single enclosure are also described.

Abstract: An expansion tank control device and a water heater and expansion tank including the expansion tank control device. The device may include a water flow sensor arranged in a water inlet waterway of a water heater to detect water flow in the water inlet waterway. The device can further include a controller outputting a driving electric signal after receiving a first electric signal output by the water flow sensor, and a reset electric signal after receiving a second electric signal output by the water flow sensor. The expansion tank can include an electric driving part arranged on a shell of the expansion tank, and a push plate on a driving end of the part, a controlled end of the electric driving part driving the push plate to move toward the expansion tank after receiving the driving electric signal or away from the expansion tank after receiving the reset electric signal.

Abstract: A storage type gas water heater has two or more tanks providing a primary heated water storage tank from which hot water is drawn, and one or more supplementary water storage tanks that utilize hot combustion gas from the primary heated water storage tank to generate and supply temperate water to previous supplementary water storage tanks and/or the primary water storage tank. A diffuser chamber is provided between the primary heated water storage water tank and the supplementary water storage tank with combustion gas from the primary heated water storage tank vented therein. A diffuser is provided in the diffuser chamber to disperse the vented combustion gas to pre-heat (temperate) the water in the supplementary water storage tank. If more than one supplementary water storage tank is provided, each supplementary water storage tank is separated by a diffuser in a diffuser chamber with combustion gas vented therein.

Abstract: A heating assembly for a water heater may include a base, a first electric heating element secured to the base, and a second electric heating element secured to the base. The second electric heating element is electrically isolated from the first electric heating element. The first and second electric heating elements are independently switchable to provide a first heat rating of the heating assembly and a second heat rating higher than the first heat rating. A water heater assembly may include a tank defining a chamber for holding a volume of water, and the heating assembly coupled to the tank. The water heater assembly may include a second heating assembly, and may further include a controller configured to control the first and second heating assemblies to provide heating at same or different heat ratings.
