摘要: In one embodiment, a field-deployable acoustic camera system is provided for measuring a two-dimensional velocity field in a large scale flow in a turbid environment. The system includes an acoustic camera and a concentrator lens. The concentrator lens operates to reduce a spreading angle of the acoustic camera. The system is configured to apply planar cross-correlation velocimetry to collected images of native micro-bubble and/or suspended particle motion collected in turbid environments such as lake circulation, riverine, estuarine, and coastal flows, as well as turbid flows that occur near dredging operations.

摘要: A non-invasive microwave measuring device (01) is for calculating the flow rate of a fluid. The device (01) includes a non-invasive microwave fluid velocity measuring device (03) having a patch antenna or horn antenna to generate a microwave signal (14) that is transmitted at a specific elevation angle α towards the fluid surface (16) and to receive the reflected microwave signal (15) from the fluid surface (16) with a doppler shift frequency. The measuring device (03) is suspended from a drone (02) by a suspension system (04). The suspension system (04) eliminates vibration noise generated by the drone (02). At least one vibration sensor eliminates false velocity readings. At least one angle sensor compensates for Pitch, Roll and Yaw from the drone (02) that influence the fluid surface velocity measurement.

A processor is used to read at least one stationarily imaged video sequence, comprising digital image frames, including an area under examination representing at least part of the smelt flow exiting the recovery boiler. The processor is used to identify, in the area under examination, an area distinguishable based on colour and/or intensity information. The processor is used to determine, based on the identified distinguishable area, a monitored flow property of the smelt flow.

摘要: A catalyst alarm system for resin/catalyst spray applications, the system having a first flow sensor that monitors whether a catalyst from a manifold is flowing for supply to a spay gun or other applicator at a specified minimum rate; a second flow sensor that detects if the catalyst is flowing out of a bypass conduit of the manifold, which indicates the catalyst is not being mixed with the resin; a third flow sensor that detects if the catalyst is flowing out of an over-pressure conduit of the manifold, which indicates that only a partial amount of the required catalyst is being mixed with the resin; and monitoring circuitry for providing alarm and/or control features based on activation combinations of the three flow sensors.

摘要: Disclosed herein are apparatuses and methods related to open channel flow measurement of process fluids. In certain embodiments the apparatus has a collection trough to receive the process fluid from a unit process, baffles to slow the flow of the process fluid to subcritical flow, and a measurement channel. A level measuring system is connected to the measurement channel and can determine the height of the process fluid in the measurement channel. The flow of the process fluid can be inferring using the height of the process fluid in the measurement channel along with other process variables. Methods are also disclosed, including methods to adjust flow conditions in the measurement channel in order to verify accuracy of the inferred flow rate. The inferred flow rate may be used to control process variables in other downstream or upstream processes, including through application in a broader control schema.

摘要: A flow imaging and monitoring system for synchronized management of wide area drainage that includes an interposer for supporting monitoring and management equipment in a manhole, a module for illuminating water flowing in pipes at the base of the manhole, a module for monitoring responses to reflected light, a sealed and rechargeable battery pack, and a data analysis and management system to interpret data streams in real time. The interposer can be adjusted to fit the diameter of the manhole and can be adjusted to be placed under the manhole cover. The module for illuminating the flowing water can be adjusted to generate various frequencies. The support structures for the modules can be adjusted for varying pitch, roll and yaw with respect to the manhole. The data analysis and management system is supported by cloud computing.

摘要: An intelligent completion module comprises a flowmeter that uses one or more electromagnetic acoustic transducer (EMAT) sensors and a flow control valve. The flow rate and the speed of sound in the production fluid from a production zone is measured and used to make reservoir management decisions. The flowmeter comprises at least two EMAT rings, comprising one or more EMAT sensors in a circular distribution which can be used in propagation or pulse-echo modes. In a segregated flow regime, a single EMAT sensor in pulse-echo mode is used to measure holdups of fluid components.

The sensor can be configured to detect fluid data, which can comprise, for example, displacement data of liquid and/or movement data associated with the liquid in a container and/or flow data associated with a flow of fluid in a conduit. The processing system can be coupled with the sensor and configured to communicate the fluid data. The platform can comprise an application communicatively coupled to one or more databases storing evaluation data (e.g., known pattern data) and configured to receive the fluid data and determine if there is a leak.
