摘要: Methods for determining phase fractions of a downhole fluid via thermal properties of the fluids are provided. In one embodiment, a method includes measuring a temperature of a fluid flowing through a completion string downhole in a well and heating a resistive element of a thermal detector at a position along the completion string downhole in the well by applying power to the resistive element such that heat from the resistive element is transmitted to the fluid flowing by the position. The method also includes determining, via the thermal detector, a flow velocity of the fluid through the completion string and multiple thermal properties of the fluid, and using the determined flow velocity and the multiple thermal properties to determine phase fractions of the fluid. Additional systems, devices, and methods are also disclosed.

The thermal analysis device includes a sample holder assembly that is detachably mounted, a first sample stage and a second sample stage that are detachably mounted, a heater (heating furnace) that heats the sample holder assembly and the like, a temperature controller, a temperature measuring section for detecting a temperature difference between the sample and a reference substance, and a weight measuring section (balance) for measuring a weight difference between the sample and the reference substance. The sample holder assembly includes a first sample holder for placing a sample thereon, and a second sample holder for placing a reference substance thereon, as well as a heat sink coupled to the first sample holder and the second sample holder, respectively, through a member having a predetermined thermal resistance, for measuring the temperature difference or the weight difference.

摘要: In some examples, a temperature distribution sensor may include a laser source to emit a laser beam that is tunable to a first wavelength and a second wavelength for injection into a device under test (DUT). A first wavelength optical receiver may convert a return signal corresponding to the first wavelength with respect to Rayleigh backscatter or Raman backscatter Anti-Stokes. A second wavelength optical receiver may convert the return signal corresponding to the second wavelength with respect to Rayleigh backscatter or Raman backscatter Stokes. Bending loss associated with the DUT may be determined by utilizing the Rayleigh backscatter signal corresponding to the first wavelength and the Rayleigh backscatter signal corresponding to the second wavelength. Further, temperature distribution associated with the DUT may be determined by utilizing the Raman backscatter Anti-Stokes signal corresponding to the first wavelength and the Raman backscatter Stokes signal corresponding to the second wavelength.

摘要: A measurement device ascertains the thermal conductivity of a fluid. The device has a fluid volume holding the fluid, a controller, and a sensor module disposed in the fluid volume. The sensor module has a supporting body and a plurality of sensor wires that extend freely between in each case two contact positions of the supporting body. One of the sensor wires serves as a heat source and is able to be energized for this purpose by the controller. The controller is set up to capture, via at least two of the sensor wires that serve as temperature sensors and are arranged at different distances from the heat source, temperature measurement values that depend on the temperature at the respective temperature sensor, and to ascertain the thermal conductivity in dependence on the temperature measurement values.
