摘要: An arrangement and method for providing compensation to a cyclical input signal is disclosed. The arrangement comprises a first detection unit (20) for detecting a first event in a cyclical output signal; a compensation signal generation unit (14) for generating a compensation signal; and a signal combination unit (8) for combining the compensation signal and the cyclical input signal to obtain the cyclical output signal. The compensation signal generation unit (14) is arranged to adjust the compensation signal at an instant which has a determined relationship with the detection of the first event. By adjusting the compensation signal at the right instant in a cycle of the cyclical output signal, the adjustment will not influence the further processing of the cyclical output signal. The method can be used to compensate the offset and sensitivity characteristics of a sensor.

摘要: An engine diagnostic system is provided that enables a service technician to evaluate engine cylinder contribution to output power. The service technician couples one or more signal leads to the vehicle's battery, alternator, or accessory receptacle (e.g., cigarette lighter receptacle) to provide an alternator output signal to a signal analyzer. The signal analyzer processes the alternator output signal to generate an engine signature, which represents engine cylinder contribution to engine output power.

摘要: A pressure sensor is realized wherein output error of sensor element can be reduced even in the case where the pressure sensor is utilized in high temperature conditions. A pressure sensor is provided with a housing 20, a diaphragm 24 that partitions the interior and the exterior of the housing 20, a sensor element 54 provided within the housing 20, output value of the sensor element 54 varying in accordance with force exerted thereupon, and a force transmitting rod 52 provided within the housing, the force transmitting rod 52 moving downwardly when a pressure is exerted upon the diaphragm 24, the force transmitting rod 52 thereby exerting force upon the sensor element 54. The diaphragm 24 has a central region 26 contacting with the force transmitting rod 52, and a surrounding region 27 surrounding the periphery of the central region 26 and connecting the central region 26 with the housing 20. The surrounding region 27, viewed cross-sectionally along the radius, is V-shaped or U-shaped, and cancels thermal expansion.

摘要: An improved combustion pressure sensor of the type measuring flexure of a first wall relative to a second wall along a response axis is characterized by linear response over a relatively wide range of preload forces. Various sensor engagements provide for minimal transmutation of forces along the response axis to any other direction, thereby improving linearity of response, durability and serviceability of the sensor.

摘要: A device for detecting a pulsating variable by fixed-angle dual sampling with slight filtering in which the pulsating variable is filtered and/or damped in such a manner that a quasi-sinusoidal variation is obtained. The signal thus obtained is a crank-angle-synchronous signal sampled twice per duration of one period. From these two measurement values, a current mean value of the pulsating variable is determined once per duration of the period.
