摘要: A method includes removably attaching an earbud to a pair of glasses worn by a person. The pair of glasses includes a first speaker configured to deliver sound externally through air or through bone conduction to an ear of the person. The earbud includes a second speaker configured to deliver sound into an ear canal of the person when the earbud is placed in the ear canal. The method further includes establishing a wireless connection between the pair of glasses and the earbud, and detecting a position of the earbud relative to the pair of glasses. The method further includes, when the earbud is detached from the pair of glasses, deactivating the first speaker in the pair of glasses, and activating the second speaker after the earbud is detached from the pair of glasses.

摘要: A light emitting ophthalmic lens in which a light source is incorporated into a lens. The light source may be configured to emit light within a specific wavelength, such as but not limited to a blue light having a wavelength of about 470 nanometers. The ophthalmic lens may include one or more light guiding elements for directing the light emitted from the light source onto a desired region of an eye, such as the outer areas of the retina. The light source may be attached to the ophthalmic lens or may be integrated therewith. The one or more light guiding elements may be configured to reflect, diffuse, disperse, defocus, and/or diffract the light from the light source towards the eye. A control unit may both power the light source and allow for programming various functions of the light source.

摘要: Head-worn computers with eye-imaging systems include a camera system positioned in a head-worn computer, wherein the camera system is further positioned to capture eye-image light that originates as reflections from a user's eye, wherein the camera system is further positioned to capture eye-image light as a reflection from a partially reflective surface that is positioned in front of an image display in the head-worn computer, wherein image light, from the image display, is transmitted through the partially reflective surface. A processor is adapted to cause the camera system to capture the eye-image light. The processor is further adapted to cause a comparison of the captured eye-image light with a pre-stored eye image of a known user of the head-worn computer. In the event the comparison confirms the identity of the known user, the user is granted permission to view content to be presented in a display of the head-worn computer.

摘要: In an example, the eyewear includes an optical element, electronic components, and a support structure configured to support the optical element and the electronic components. The support structure defines a region for receiving at least a portion of a head of a user. The eyewear also includes a biometric sensor coupled to the electronic components and supported by the support structure. The biometric sensor is attached to the support structure and positioned to detect, in the region, a biometric signal representative of a biometric of the user for processing by the electronic components.

摘要: An optical apparatus includes eye-tracking means; a dominant-eye optical element for dominant eye, a non-dominant-eye optical element for non-dominant eye of a user and processor. Each optical element includes a first substrate and a second substrate, and active material encased between the substrates, controlling means for controlling active material to generate optical power(s). The processor is configured to determine gaze directions of both eyes; detect when given criteria is satisfied, such satisfaction being when gaze directions have not converged for predefined time period(s) and/or within predefined error margin; and upon such satisfaction, activate amblyopia treatment mode and generate drive signals for controlling means of both optical elements to perform: (i) produce different optical power for dominant eye and predefined optical power for non-dominant eye, or (ii) produce predefined optical powers for both eyes whilst applying prism correction.

摘要: A system includes an electronic contact lens that obtains sensor measurements from integrated motion sensors or other types of sensors and a processing module that estimates a mental state of an individual based on the sensor measurements. The processing module identifies patterns of eye movements and analyzes how these patterns change over time. Based on anatomical relationships between eye movement and mental state, the processing module estimates characteristics of the individual such as fatigue, intoxication, injury, or a medical condition that have known effects on eye movement patterns. The electronic contact lens system generates an output indicative of the estimated mental state to alert the individual to the detected condition or to initiate an automated action.
