    摘要: The specification discloses a timer including a housing having a display aperture in the front surface thereof. A light emitting diode display is mounted within the display aperture for displaying multiple digits. A U-shaped bracket pivotally connects to the housing and has a base surface which is adapted to be attached to a telephone set for ease of viewing by the telephone user. Timing circuitry within the housing generates periodic timing signals and drives the display to display time intervals to the telephone user. A switch is positioned on the housing for actuation by the telephone user to start and stop operation of the circuitry.

    摘要: Push button-operated motion-control or display correction mechanisms in timepieces, especially chronograph- and stop watches in which at least one motion-transmitting member is arranged between a plate and a sensible member which is preferably a chronograph hand arbor, for cooperation with said button and said sensible member. A spring urges said motiontransmitting member towards its cooperating position with said button. The motion-transmitting member has two operating positions for different cooperation with said button. When a regular manual pressure force is applied to said button, the force as such will be transmitted from said button through said transmitting member when it is positioned at its first cooperating position, to said sensible member for effective position control thereof. When a substantial force is applied substantially larger than said manual pressure force upon said button, said transmitting member is positioned now at its second cooperating position under the combined influence of its substantial inertia and the resiliency of the spring will be blocked from its receding movement and the button movement checked through said transmitting member by a stationary member, preferably a watch casing.

The hammer is used to return heart cams such as are used in stopwatches and counting devices to the zero position when a button is pressed. The hammer disclosed consists of a pivoted part which coacts with the button and a lever part which is held between the pivoted part and a platen in such a way that it drives the heart cams to zero position when the pivoted lever engages it at one point.

    摘要: A portable computer comprising a planar base member having a circular, logarithmically spaced scale thereon indicative of a first value and having an opening disposed therethrough, a circular disc rotatably mounted in superimposed relation on the base member and having a logarithmically spaced scale disposed on a front face thereof which is indicative of a second value. The circular disc also has a logarithmically spaced scale on the back face thereof in alignment with the opening through the base member and being indicative of a third value which is the quotient of the first and second values so that when the circular disc is rotated relative to the base member with a predetermined first value aligned with a predetermined second value, then the resulting third value will be aligned in the opening in the base member. Preferably, the computer also includes an additional logarithmically spaced scale and an equally spaced scale on the circular disc member and also includes a second circular disc member having a fixed indicator means and an equally spaced scale thereon for cooperating with the first disc member to compute additional values. The portable computer may be specifically constructed for use by a motorist and the above scales include units indicating various motorist''s values.
