Abstract: Deleting web browser data by maintaining a set of Uniform Resource Locators (URL) hostnames, where a URL hostname is added to the set of hostnames responsive to the URL being accessed by a web browser and responsive to determining that predefined grouping conditions that define a logical group is met by the URL, and deleting one or more types of data maintained by the web browser in association with URLs associated with the hostnames in the set of hostnames, where the deleting is performed in accordance with a predefined deletion policy that specifies the types of data that are to be deleted and predefined deletion conditions, and where the deleting is performed responsive to determining that the predefined deletion conditions are met and determining that the web browser is not currently accessing any URL associated with the hostnames in the set of hostnames.

Abstract: A word completion method and apparatus are described. The method is applied to a search scenario and is used to complete an incomplete word entered by a user. The method is based on an improved trie. Hot words are stored in some nodes of the trie. In the word completion method, a target node that matches a character string is searched in the trie, and at least one completed word is output to a user based on a hot word stored in the target node. Word completion efficiency is improved, and a case in which a word is recommended to a user when the user enters an excessively short character string is avoided.

Abstract: A method, system, and apparatus provide the ability to personalize a digital channel. A digital channel is provided to multiple users and visitor information at each visit is collected. The visitor information includes data about each visit and multiple content items that are presented. The users are autonomously clustered by segmenting the user population into behavioral groups such that mutual information is maximized between the users in an assigned behavioral group and the content items. Based on the clustering, a model is generated that estimates a score for each interaction between users and content items. The model is updated at a defined interval. Based on the score, content items to recommend to a specific user are determined. The recommendation jointly maximizes an outcome and a learning speed of the model. The personalized digital channel is delivered to the specific user based on the recommended multiple content items.
