摘要: A liquid crystal display panel drive method including: determining a target pixel in a picture of a (k+1)-th frame according to a grayscale data of the (k+1)-th frame; acquiring a number difference between positive polarities and negative polarities in polarities of data drive signals of target pixels in a same row in the picture of the (k+1)-th frame; adjusting, a polarity of a data drive signal of a target pixel of the target row in the (k+1)-th frame data drive signal, and making an absolute value of the number difference corresponding to the target row to be less than or equal to the preset number; and driving the liquid crystal display panel to display the picture of the (k+1)-th frame based on the (k+1)-th frame data drive signal after being adjusted.

摘要: Disclosed are a display control module and a display control method of a display device. The display control module includes a control signal generation module and a plurality of IP core modules. The control signal generation module shields an initial frame control signal based on an enabled underrun signal to generate a frame control signal which is disabled. The plurality of IP core modules are coupled to the control signal generation module, receive the frame control signal, and perform image processing on image data of the same frame based on the frame control signal, so as to generate display image data corresponding thereto. Therefore, when the display device displays abnormally, the plurality of IP core modules continue to perform image processing on a current frame based on the frame control signal.

摘要: A display device may include a display panel including pixels and at least one common electrode overlapping a portion of the pixels in an active area of the display panel; a gate driver configured to supply a gate signal to the pixels; a source driving integrated circuit configured to supply a data signal to the pixels and configured to supply a common voltage to the common electrode; and a noise compensator circuit configured to receive a plurality of sensing signals from a plurality of sensing lines that are connected to at least one of the display panel, the gate driver, or the source driving integrated circuit, generate a plurality of inverted sensing signals by applying different gain values to signals obtained by inverting phases of each of the plurality of sensing signals, and generate a noise compensation signal based on at least one of the plurality of inverted sensing signals.

The computing system may compute backlight unit statistics of the first image frame. The backlight unit statistics may represent grayscale levels for the plurality of backlight zones. The computing system may compute a global dimming gain for adjusting color values and backlight unit intensity of a second image frame of the sequence of image frames based on the backlight unit statistics of the first image frame. The computing system may adjust, using the global dimming gain, the color values and the backlight unit intensity of the second image frame.

摘要: According to one embodiment, a display device includes a pair of substrates including a display area in which pixels are arranged, pixel electrodes and memories provided in the pixels, signal lines supplied with digital signals, switching elements connecting the memories and the signal lines, scanning lines supplied with scanning signals, a first driver unit, and a second driver unit. The first driver unit is provided in a peripheral area around the display area, and supplies the digital signal to the signal line. The second driver unit is provided in the peripheral area, and supplies the scanning signal to the scanning line. In the display device, at least a part of the first driver unit is provided between the display area and the second driver unit.

摘要: An electronic display device has a panel that operates in conjunction with a light-emitting diode (LED) backlight. The device “slopes” or gradually ramps a change in brightness of an LED based on a target brightness value of the LED, a current brightness value of the LED, and temperature at the LED. The device also may limit power to the backlight based on an estimated power consumption of a current row of LEDs of the backlight and power consumption of the other rows of LEDs. The device also may determine a reduced voltage to supply to an LED based on a current to supply to the LED to cause the LED to operate. The device also may send an interrupt to the backlight to block updates to the backlight while image content is written to pixels of the panel. The device further compensates for aging of and temperature at an LED.
