摘要: A digital downloading jukebox system including a mechanism for delivering custom services to a recognized user is provided. For example, information specific to a recognized user may be stored and optionally may include a recognized user avatar representative of the recognized user. The user avatar may be an image, video, and/or animation, which may be displayed on and/or played through the jukebox. The user avatar may be associated with transactions associated with the user. For example, an avatar may be displayed when a playlist of the recognized user is played, when a message is sent, etc. In other examples, the avatar may introduce instances of media by playing an audio and/or video message, and the avatar may sing, dance, etc. while an instance of media is playing.

摘要: An image processing apparatus comprises a receiver (201) for receiving an image signal which comprises at least an encoded image and a target display reference. The target display reference is indicative of a dynamic range of a target display for which the encoded image is encoded. A dynamic range processor (203) generates an output image by applying a dynamic range transform to the encoded image in response to the target display reference. An output (205) then outputs an output image signal comprising the output image, e.g. to a suitable display. The dynamic range transform may furthermore be performed in response to a display dynamic range indication received from a display. The invention may be used to generate an improved High Dynamic Range (HDR) image from e.g. a Low Dynamic Range (LDR) image, or vice versa.

摘要: A system and method are presented for recording audio and video of an individual within a kiosk on separate audio and video computers that are locally connected to the kiosk. Instructions are provided to the individual through a locally connected controller computer. A remote user computer requests recorded data from the kiosk. The controller computer prompts the audio and video computers to separately stream audio and video to the remote user computer. The controller computer divides the audio and video data into time segments, and then presents different versions of the session to different users, with each different version comprising a different set of time segments. A central system server provides searching capabilities to the user computer to search and request data from a plurality of remotely located kiosks, each having separate controller, audio, and video computers.

摘要: An enhanced video book and a system and method for creating an enhanced video book are described. Artwork and text corresponding to a storyline can be converted into a format that can be animated. A timing is established at which the converted artwork can be displayed, at a pace corresponding to the timing at which the converted text can be read. The converted artwork and/or the converted text are animating, and voice-over narration corresponding to the converted text is generated. The display of the converted artwork or the converted text is adjusted and synchronized with the voice-over narration based on the timing at which the converted artwork can be displayed. Audio is added and synchronized to the converted artwork. The converted artwork, the converted text, the animated or converted artwork, the animated converted text, the voice-over narration, and the audio are combined into an enhanced video book.

摘要: The present technology can provide a mechanism for generating an offset based on protocols that are used for delivering a digital multimedia content to correct a latency between an audio and visual experience of a digital multimedia content. A wireless audio transport latency may be determined based on whether there is a wireless audio transport playback protocol for the digital multimedia file. An encoding image latency may be determined based on whether the digital multimedia file is encoded. A total audio latency offset may be calculated based on a retinal image latency in addition to the encoding image latency minus the wireless audio transport latency. The retinal image latency is based on the persistence of vision.
