摘要: A device having one or more switching mechanisms configured to disconnect a power supply from a load; and one or more disconnector and earthing switches, each disconnector and earthing switch associated with a respective switching mechanism. Each disconnector and earthing switch comprising a telescopic disconnector blade, wherein the disconnector blade is configured to pivot around a first end between three different positions. The three positions comprise: a first position in which the disconnector and earthing switch is closed and the power supply is connected to the load through the disconnector blade; a second, isolation, position in which the disconnector and earthing switch is open and the power supply is disconnected from the load; and a third position in which the power supply is disconnected from the load and a second end of the disconnector blade is electrically connected to an earthing contact.

摘要: A switch for a medium voltage or high voltage switchgear includes: a first fixed contact; a second fixed contact; a moveable contact; at least one flexible link; and a contact drive. In an on state of the switch, the moveable contact is in a position that connects the first fixed contact to the second fixed contact. In an off state of the switch, the moveable contact is in a position where the first fixed contact is not connected to the second fixed contact. The at least one flexible link is connected to the moveable contact. The at least one flexible link engages with the contact drive. The contact drive pulls the moveable contact via the at least one flexible link and pushes the moveable contact via the at least one flexible link. Activation of the contact drive in a first mode moves the moveable contact.

The power in contact is mounted to the platform, the power out contact is mounted to the platform, and the earthing contact is mounted to the platform.

摘要: A protected switch includes first and second electromechanical relays with guided contacts, each including an electromagnet and electrical contacts. A first contact of the first relay and a first contact of the second relay are connected in series in order to form a switching circuit. The switch further includes an interconnection circuit which connects at least a portion of the other electrical contacts of the first and second relays. The excitation of the first electromagnet is conditional on the state of the second relay and the excitation of the second electromagnet is conditional on the state of the first relay.

摘要: The invention relates to a center break switch having a contact system for electrical current conduction and bus transfer switching. The contact system includes two moving contacts. One of the two moving contacts includes a finger contact and the other moving contact includes a first contact. Each moving contact includes a contact for bus transfer switching, wherein one of the two contacts includes a spherical contacting element, and the other contact includes a rectangular contacting element. The spherical contacting element and the rectangular contacting element engage during switching for the bus transfer, and stay in contact when the finger contact is engaged with the first contact for electrical current conduction.

摘要: A pole assembly of a switching device is provided. The pole assembly includes a first interrupter unit operably connected to a pole plate of the pole assembly via first post insulators. The first interrupter provides a path for current flow through the first interrupter in a closed state and interrupts the current flow in an open state. A second interrupter unit is operably connected to the first interrupter unit and to the pole plate via second post insulators. The second interrupter allows the current flow through the first interrupter unit in an open state and grounds the switching device in a closed state. The pole assembly includes a dielectric shield physically disposable between and operably connected to the first post insulators and the second post insulators for uniformly distributing an electric field generated during operation of the pole assembly.

摘要: In one embodiment, a fuse cutout cover has an integral roof portion. The roof portion covers the energized top of a fuse in a first type of cutout. An attachable roof extension covers the energized top of a fuse in a larger second type of cutout, such as a Fault Tamer™ cutout. By adding the roof extension, the same cover may be used with two types of cutouts, and there is not a large gap over the fuse, preventing wildlife from entering the gap. In another embodiment, a second roof is formed over the first roof portion to accommodate different types of cutouts. Electrical insulation between wildlife and the energized cutout is also increased.
