    摘要: A coaxial power sensor assembly configured to provide a broadband matched termination utilizing coplanar waveguide topology while simultaneously providing a source of heat energy for a surface mount chip thermistor element to measure applied input power. The coaxial thermal power sensor is comprised of a thin film resistive device on a dielectric substrate and a surface mount chip thermistor element placed in close planar proximity to the resistive device in order to maximize the heat flux via a closely coupled thermal path to the thermistor and alter the bias current through the resistance to be measured. The power sensor is intended to function from DC to 70 GHz, but the same should not be construed as a limitation.

    摘要: A device for preventing a signal induced by hazardous EMI on a power line in a group of multiple adjacent, parallel power lines of the same phase in an electrical power system from reaching an electrical component connected to one of the multiple power lines, the device comprising at least one conductive impedance transition element having a disk-shaped structure with multiple holes for receiving the multiple adjacent power lines of the same phase, the disk-shaped structures each having an outer diameter that is greater than diameter of all of the multiple parallel power lines to deliberately create an impedance mismatch between the conductive impedance transition elements and adjacent portions of the multiple power lines. The impedance mismatch causes the conductive impedance transition elements to reflect high-frequency components of a signal induced on the multiple power lines by hazardous EMI and the high-frequency components are reflected and dissipated as heat.

    摘要: A termination/attenuation network applies to an input of a set-top box a MOCA channel signal having a narrow band of frequencies and included in RF signals having a wide band of frequencies received via a cable from a satellite antenna. The network includes a pair of series resistors and a parallel resistor coupled to a junction terminal between the pair of series resistors in a T-shaped configuration. A series-pass band-pass filter (L1, C2) bypasses the pair of series resistors and a parallel band stop filter (L2, C1) decouples the parallel resistor at the frequency band of the MOCA channel signal for selectively reducing attenuation at the frequency band of the MOCA channel signal.

    摘要: A high frequency termination device includes a printed circuit board. A ground pad having a first predetermined inductive reactance at a resonant frequency can be mounted on the printed circuit board. A resistor landing pad having a second predetermined inductive reactance at the resonant frequency can be mounted on the printed circuit board. The resistor landing pad can be selectively positioned adjacent to the ground pad to create a desired capacitive reactance at the resonant frequency to cancel at least part of the first predetermined inductive reactance and the second predetermined inductive reactance. A terminating resistor can be coupled with the resistor landing pad. An impedance of the termination device is dominated by a resistance value of the terminating resistor at the resonant frequency due to cancellation of at least part of the first predetermined inductive reactance and the second predetermined inductive reactance at the resonant frequency.

    摘要: A surge-protected coaxial termination includes a metallic outer body, a center conductor extending through a central bore of the outer body, and a spark gap created therebetween to discharge high-voltage power surges. A plurality of dielectric insulators surrounds the center conductor on opposite sides of the spark gap. High impedance inductive zones surround the spark gap to form a T-network low pass filter that nullifies the additional capacitance of the spark gap. An enlarged portion of a center conductor mitigates deleterious effects of arcing. An axial, carbon composition resistor is disposed inside the outer body, and inside the dielectric insulator to absorb the RF signal, and prevent its reflection.

The first and the second axes are disposed orthogonal to one another and lie in the common plane. The broadband signal junction with sum signal absorption is characterized in that the two first side arm hollow conductors end with a hollow conductor absorber.
