摘要: A phase shifter is provided, which includes a first substrate, a second substrate, a liquid crystal layer, a plurality of first ring-shaped electrodes and a plurality of second ring-shaped electrodes. The first substrate and the second substrate are disposed opposite to each other. The liquid crystal layer is disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate. The plurality of first ring-shaped electrodes are disposed sequentially and in interval on a side of the first substrate close to the liquid crystal layer. The plurality of second ring-shaped electrodes are disposed sequentially and in interval on a side of the second substrate close to the liquid crystal layer. A plurality of vertical projections, projected by the plurality of first ring-shaped electrodes to the second substrate, and at least partially overlapped with the plurality of second ring-shaped electrodes, respectively.

摘要: Ultrawideband (UWB) beamforming networks are provided. A UWB beamforming network can have azimuth angle scanning and elevation angle scanning. A modified version of the Blass matrix topology can be used to achieve two-dimensional (2D) scanning behavior. The beamforming network can simultaneously excite a plurality of beams, and each of these beams can be at any chosen frequency inside the bandwidth that the beamformer covers. Each beam can be designed to point at any arbitrary direction, which can be defined by the desired elevation angle and azimuth angle, in the 2D plane.

摘要: Disclosed embodiments relate satellites using a Software-Defined Radio (“SDR”) system. In one example, a geostationary (GEO) satellite includes an antenna system including multiple antennas, each configured to provide a spot beam having an adjustable throughput for a terrestrial coverage area while the antenna is in an active state and the satellite is in orbit above the Earth, a front-end subsystem communicatively coupled to the antenna system having an input side including an input filter and an analog-to-digital converter, and an output side including an output filter and a digital-to-analog converter, and a software defined radio (“SDR”) communicatively coupled to the antenna system via the front-end subsystem. The SDR, in response to a surge modification request, modifies a throughput of each active antenna by increasing or decreasing a share of a satellite power budget allotted to the antenna by deactivating or activating a previously active or previously inactive antenna, respectively.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to a phase shifter and a communication device including the same, and particularly, to a phase shifter including a base panel; a fixed substrate which is laminated and fixed on one side or another side on the base panel and has a plurality of circuit patterns printed on the top surface thereof; and a phase shift switching part provided with a plurality of movable substrates including movable strip terminal which are in contact with the plurality of circuit patterns of the fixed substrate, wherein the phase shift switching part is configured to reciprocate the plurality of movable substrates within a predetermined distance in a horizontal direction on the base panel to change the positions of contact points of the movable substrates with respect to the circuit patterns, wherein the phase shift switching part moves the plurality of movable substrates while elastically supporting the plurality of movable substrates toward the circuit patterns, thereby providing an advantage of maximizing the space utilization.
