摘要: A connector includes a connector base with a first end that may be inserted in a port, and a second end located opposite the connector base from the first end. A connector release tab extends from the connector base adjacent the first end and moves relative to the connector base. A connector securing feature on the connector release tab may engage a port to secure the connector base in that port. A connector release system includes a connector release linkage coupled to the connector release tab and extending through the connector base, and a connector release actuator adjacent the second end of the connector base and coupled to the connector release linkage. The connector release actuator may be actuated to move, via the connector release linkage, the connector release tab to disengage the connector securing feature from a port such that the connector base may be removed from that port.

摘要: A flat flexible cable (FFC) is configured to facilitate high-speed communications, such as USB Superspeed 3.0 signals, between processors. The FFC includes at least two differential signal pairs arranged directly adjacent to one another on opposite sides of an isolation gap consisting of non-conductive material. The size of the isolation gap may be tailored in proportion to the frequency of signals supported by the FFC.

摘要: An electrical connector includes a connector housing having a mating end at a front of the connector housing configured to be mating with a mating electrical connector. The connector housing includes a contact module chamber. An electrical connector includes a stack of contact modules received in the contact module chamber. Each contact module includes a module body holding a plurality of contacts. The contacts have mating ends at the mating end of the connector housing for mating with the mating electrical connector; and an electrical connector includes a contact module biasing members between the contact modules and the connector housing to forward bias the contact modules in the contact module chamber, wherein the contact module biasing members are compressible to allow the contact modules to move independent from each other relative to the connector housing in the contact module chamber when mating with the mating electrical connector.

摘要: An inductive charging antenna for charging the power source of an active implantable medical device (AIMD) is described. The charging antenna is supported on the body fluid side of the feedthrough insulator, on the device side of the insulator or it is embedded inside the insulator. The charging antenna is connected to electronic circuits housed inside the medical device to charge the power source so that the device can deliver electrical stimulation to a patient and receive sensed biological signals from body tissue, among other functionalities. If the charging antenna is supported on the insulator body fluid side, it is made from a biocompatible material such as platinum. However, if the charging antenna is embedded inside the feedthrough insulator or is supported on the device side of the insulator, it can be made from a less expensive material that is not biocompatible, for example, copper.
