摘要: A power coupler includes an input end assembly and an output end assembly separably coupled to the input end assembly. The input end assembly includes an input end base including a slot, a sealing cover arranged at the input end base, an input conductive member arranged at the input end base and connected to an external power supply, and a self-locking structure. The sealing cover is movable between a closing position to cover a slot port of the slot and an opening position to at least partially open the slot port. The self-locking structure is switchable between a locked state to limit the sealing cover from moving towards the opening position and an unlocked state to not limit the sealing cover. The output end assembly includes an output conductive member configured to extend into the slot and be connected to the input conductive member.

摘要: Between a housing and a position ensuring member, provided are: a first locking mechanism that locks move of the position ensuring member at a standby position in an ensuring-operation direction toward a fitting assured position when a lever member is not at a completely fitted position; and a second locking mechanism that locks move of the position ensuring member at the fitting ensured position in an ensuring-release direction that is a reverse direction of the ensuring-operation direction when the lever member is at the completely fitted position. Between the lever member and the position ensuring member, provided is a locking release mechanism that releases a locked state of the position ensuring member with the first locking mechanism when the lever member comes at the completely fitted position.

摘要: A low insertion force contact terminal which has a conductor mating portion, a securing portion and a substrate mating portion. The conductor mating portion is configured to terminate a conductor therein. The securing portion is configured to secure the terminal in a terminal receiving cavity of a housing. The substrate mating portion extends from the securing portion. The substrate mating portion has at least two sections which have curved portions thereon. The at least two sections move independently, which allows the curved portions to exert a normal force on walls of through holes of a substrate to which the contact terminal is mated which is sufficient to provide a stable electrical connection while allowing for a low insertion force.

摘要: An electrical connector includes an insulative housing with a plurality of passageways extending through opposite upper and lower surfaces of the housing. A plurality of electrical contacts are received within the corresponding passageways, respectively. Each contact includes a first main body and a second main body side by side arranged with each other with a bridge transversely linked therebetween. At least one of the first main body and the second main body includes a retaining barb for retaining contact in the passageway. Two soldering pads are formed on the corresponding bottom ends of the first main body and the second main body, respectively. The two soldering pads intimately confront each other either in a horizontal direction or in a vertical direction, and are joined together via a solder ball located under the two soldering pads.

In this manner, PCB footprint may be reduced (e.g., by 50% when a staggered connector configuration is used), while adequate current carrying capacity may be maintained (e.g., 2 A, 3 A, 4 A, etc.). Additionally, or alternatively, one or more other advantages may be achieved, such as ruggedness (e.g., vibration endurance), error proofing, configuration flexibility, ease of manufacturing, ease of assembly, and/or lowered costs.

摘要: A receptacle connector includes an insulative receptacle housing and a plurality of receptacle contacts retained in the receptacle housing. The plug connector includes an insulative plug housing and a plurality of plug connectors retained in the plug connector. The receptacle housing includes a rear wall extending along a lengthwise direction, and a pair of side walls extending from two opposite ends of the rear wall along the front-to-back direction perpendicular of the lengthwise direction, to commonly form a receiving space thereamong. The receiving space forms a front opening and an upper opening for communicating with an exterior. The receptacle contacts are retained in the rear wall and extend into the receiving space. The plug connector is adapted to be rearwardly inserted into the receiving space along the front-to-back direction via the front opening, or be downwardly and rotationally inserted into the receiving space via the upper opening.

The terminal retainer retains a terminal within the cavity in the staged position. The terminal retainer has a base, a pair of first cantilevered arms extending from the base, a crossbar extending between the first arms defining a first latch feature, and a second cantilevered arm extending from the crossbar. The second arm is between the pair of first arms and defines a second latch feature. The first latch feature engages the first groove in the pre-staged position and the second groove in the staged position. The second latch feature engages the first groove in the staged position.
