    摘要: An arc prevention system including a jack having a receptacle, a modular connector sized to be positioned in the receptacle of the jack, the modular connector including a plurality of contacts, with at least two of the contacts creating an energized electrical path with an external power source in electrical communication with the external power source, a latch extending from a top surface of the modular connector, a switching unit positioned on the latch, a plug unit positioned between the latch and the jack that prevents the modular connector from moving out of the receptacle, a control circuit in electrical communication with switch and the at least two energized contacts, where the electrical path between the control circuit and the switching unit is energized when the plug engages the switching unit on the latch, and the control circuit adjusts the energized electrical path to a predetermined electrical level.

    摘要: An electrical connector body is provided includes first and second housing portions formed from molded plastic. The housing portions include first and second interface surfaces that are configured to butt against one another to define a housing and one or more electrical components are disposed within an interior of the housing. The one or more electrical components may comprise connectors of a male or female cord cap, an in-line surge suppression circuit, and/or a compact automatic transfer switch. In one implementation, each of the first and second connector body portions may include a strain relief extension for engaging an electrical cord and a compression member (3691) may be disposed over the strain relief extensions to secure together the first and second connector body portions. The compression member may be selected from a set of compression members based on a size of the electrical cord.

    摘要: An optical transceiver includes an electrical connector, an internal circuit, first switch and second switch. The internal circuit is electrically connected to the apparatus through the electrical connector when the optical transceiver is completely inserted into the apparatus, and generate a switching signal after a first signal pad and a second signal pad in a second row of the electrical connector are electrically connected. The first switch isolates a third signal pad in a first row of the electrical connector when the optical transceiver is not fully inserted, and puts the third signal pad electrically connectable in accordance with the switching signal when the optical transceiver is fully inserted. The second switch isolates a fourth signal pad in the first row when the optical transceiver is not fully inserted, and puts the fourth signal pad electrically connectable in accordance with the switching signal when the optical transceiver is fully inserted.

    摘要: A replaceable socket device includes adapters and a base. Each of the adapters include a jack and contacts disposed on a bottom of the adapters. The base includes sockets, an adapting interface disposed on the socket, and a coupling interface coupled to the adapting interface and an external power source. Each socket includes a bottom surface and a sidewall perpendicularly connected to the bottom surface. One of the adapters inserts in the socket via an opening formed by the bottom surface and the sidewall. The adapting interface is utilized to connect the socket and one of the adapters. The coupling interface is configured to conduct electrical signal from the external power source to the adapting interface. The structure of the adapting interface is used for allowing one of adapters to couple to the socket via the adapting interface. The adapting interface is lower than the bottom surface of the socket.

    摘要: Described herein is a modular outlet system that provides flexibility in locating switches, outlets, and sensors. A base can be recessed into a surface, such as a wall, floor, or ceiling and can be connected to a power source. The base can accept multiple types of inserts. The inserts can include switches, outlets, sensors, and blank plates. The inserts can lock into place with the base and unlock based on manipulation of a recessed button. Inserts can engage the base with staged gate opening to minimize chances of electrical shock.
