    摘要: A coaxial cable assembly includes a coaxial cable having a shield conductor surrounding a central conductor, a shield terminal in contact with an inner surface of the shield conductor, and a ferrule configured to secure the shield terminal to the coaxial cable. The ferrule defines first and second crimping wings. The first and second crimping wings each having an arcuate shape and are compressively connected to an outer surface of the shield conductor. A distal end of the first crimping wing overlies a distal end of the second crimping wing. A method for forming the coaxial cable assembly and a crimping tool for attaching the ferrule to the coaxial cable is also provided.

A continuous outer wall extends across the first mating portion, the transition portion and the second mating potion. A first terminal positioned in the adapter. At least one receptacle has a receptacle mating section and a receptacle transition section. A continuous receptacle outer conductive wall extends across the receptacle mating section and the receptacle transition section. A receptacle inner wall extends perpendicular to the receptacle outer wall. A second terminal is positioned in the at least one receptacle. A retention member is provided in the receptacle mating section. The continuous outer wall and the continuous receptacle outer wall form a grounding shield minimizing signal leakage from the first terminal and the second terminal.

    摘要: The present disclosure describes a coaxial cable-connector assembly. The coaxial cable-connector assembly including a coaxial cable, a coaxial connector, and a polymeric sleeve. The outer connector body is swaged or crimped onto the polymeric sleeve. An end of a corrugated outer conductor of the coaxial cable is flared radially outwardly to form a flared end that secures the polymeric sleeve onto the coaxial cable. The polymeric sleeve separates the corrugated outer conductor of the coaxial cable from the outer conductor body of the coaxial connector to prevent direct radial electrical connection therebetween and the polymeric sleeve axially forces the flared end of the outer conductor of the coaxial cable in contact with a shoulder of the outer connector body of the coaxial connector. Additional coaxial cable-connector assemblies and related methods of assembling the same are described herein.
