    Abstract: In order both to accommodate instantaneous current as well as overcurrent protection in accordance with the load, an overcurrent protection circuit has: a threshold value generation unit that, in accordance with a threshold value control signal, switches between setting an overcurrent detection threshold value to a first set value (∝Iref) and a second set value (∝Iset) lower than the first set value; an overcurrent detection unit that compares a sense signal in accordance with the current being monitored and the overcurrent detection value and generates an overcurrent protection signal; a reference value generation unit that generates a reference value (∝Iset) in accordance with the seconds set value; a comparison unit that compares the sense signal and the reference value, and generates a comparison signal; and a threshold value control unit that monitors the comparison signal, and generates a threshold value control signal.

    Abstract: A multi-input shutdown device, including: a first input port, configured to be coupled to a first photovoltaic unit; at least one second input port, configured to be coupled to a second photovoltaic unit, where the second photovoltaic unit includes at least one cell substring and a freewheeling diode connected in parallel to the cell substring; a first shutdown module including a first switching device and a first bypass device, where the first bypass device is configured to provide a bypass path for a power bus current when the first photovoltaic unit is abnormal; at least one second shutdown module, including a second switching device; and a control module, configured to control the second switching device to be turned on when the second photovoltaic unit is abnormal, so that the second switching device and the freewheeling diode in the second photovoltaic unit provide a bypass path for the power bus current.

    Abstract: Apparatuses and methods for implementing contactor opening and fusing strategies in a power distribution unit are disclosed, including a power distribution unit comprising: one or more contactors coupled to one or more charging systems; one or more active fuses in a circuit connecting the one or more contactors to a battery system; and a microcontroller configured to: receive one or more current values; determine whether the one or more current values meet a first set of predetermined current thresholds; in response to determining that the one or more current values meet the first set of predetermined current thresholds, trigger the one or more active fuses; determine whether the one or more current values meet a second set of predetermined current thresholds; and in response to determining that the one or more current values meet the second set of predetermined current thresholds, signal the one or more contactors to open.

    Abstract: Provided are a photovoltaic power generation system and a fault protection method and device thereof, a combiner box, and an inverter. The method includes: disconnecting, when there are co-positive power conversion units or co-negative power conversion units in the plurality of power conversion units and the protection switch units corresponding to the co-positive power conversion units or the co-negative power conversion units share a protection switch when connected to their corresponding photovoltaic string units, part or all of the plurality of protection switch units in response to detecting a fault in the photovoltaic power generation system, such that at most two photovoltaic strings in each of the corresponding photovoltaic string units are connected in parallel. When the protection switch units corresponding to the co-positive power conversion units or the co-negative power conversion units are disconnected, their corresponding photovoltaic strings are disconnected separately by at least three protection switches.
