摘要: An example electric motor includes a housing, a stator fixed relative to the housing, a rotor, a brake assembly, a first bearing, and a second bearing. The rotor has a hub portion, a cylindrical portion, and a disk portion. The hub portion of the rotor has a first end, a second end, and a through-hole therethrough. The brake assembly is fixed relative to the housing and configured to selectively couple the disk portion of the rotor to the housing. The first bearing is mounted between the first end of the hub portion of the rotor and the disk portion of the rotor. The second bearing is mounted between the second end of the hub portion of the rotor and the disk portion of the rotor.

A plurality of free spaces are each delimited by the magnets inserted into one of the magnet pockets and by the laminated core. A first end sheet is arranged on an axial side of the laminated core and a second end sheet arranged on the opposite axial side of the laminated core and has an axially curved portion by which a connecting channel is formed, which connects a first of the free spaces to a second of the free spaces.

摘要: A dual-rotor machine comprising a dual rotor support structure rotatably connected to a frame. A stationary stator is disposed between the rotors and is fixed to the frame. An inner rotor and outer rotor, each comprising a permanent magnet Halbach array, are coaxially disposed with the stator and are rotable about the stator. In this configuration, the inner rotor channels its magnetic flux to its outside, while the outer rotor channels its magnetic flux to its inside. The magnetic flux density at the stator for the dual-rotor machine can be as high as 2 Tesla or higher for high-grade neodymium-iron-boron permanent magnet material, and the stored magnetic energy for conversion to mechanical or electrical energy available to the stator may be at least 0.5 KJ/m. The rotor Halbach arrays may comprise monolithic permanent magnets with continuously variable magnetic field direction.

摘要: A brushless direct-current (BLDC) motor for a power tool includes a rotor assembly; a stator assembly including a stator having stator teeth forming slots therebetween and stator windings wound around the stator teeth; stator terminals extending substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis from the stator assembly and being substantially aligned with centerlines of the slots of the stator assembly; and a circuit board mounted on the stator terminals adjacent the stator assembly. The circuit board includes conductive traces facilitating a one of a delta or a series connection between the stator windings. An end insulator is provided at an axial end of the stator to electrically insulate the stator from the stator windings, the end insulator including support members to support the stator terminals relative to the stator assembly. The circuit board is mounted and fastened to the support members.

摘要: A generator arranged to be driven by an aircraft engine, the generator comprising a stator and a rotor. The stator comprises a stator core and a plurality of slots longitudinally extending in a direction of a longitudinal axis of the stator, for receiving conductors to form windings of the stator, and a plurality of power channels. Each power channel comprises a set of windings having at least a first phase winding including a first set of coils comprising a plurality of conductors wound in a lap winding configuration, the first set of coils having a split phase belt such that the first set of coils comprises at least a first coil and a second coil, the first coil being mechanically shifted with respect to the second coil by a predetermined number of slots of the stator. The rotor comprises a permanent magnet adapted to reduce eddy-current losses.

The first phase winding has a main leg and a return leg extending from the first phase winding. The second phase winding has a main leg and a return leg extending from the second phase winding. A return switch unit is operatively connected to the return legs of the first phase winding and the second phase winding. The return switch unit includes a switch configured to connect the return legs of the first phase and second phase to a neutral node in the return switch unit in a normal state, and to disconnect the return legs of the first and second phase windings from the neutral node in a fault protection state.

摘要: An electric brushless DC motor is provided including a rotor assembly having a substantially-cylindrical metallic rotor body and at least one rotor magnet mounted on a surface of the rotor body, a stator assembly rotatably disposed relative to the rotor assembly, and a molded structure formed in contact with the rotor body. The molded structure includes a main body having a first axial end that engages at least one axial end of the at least one rotor magnet to axially retain the at least one rotor magnet on the surface of the rotor body and a second axial end that integrally forms a fan adjacent the rotor body.
