    Abstract: An actuator having good interlayer adhesion at a lamination interface, good conductivity of an electrode layer, and good smoothness of the electrode layer is provided. The actuator includes a plurality of elastomer layers and a plurality of electrode layers, and the elastomer layers and electrode layers are alternately laminated. The electrode layer contains carbon black, a content of the carbon black in the electrode layer is 10% by mass or more and 20% by mass or less, and a specific surface area of the carbon black is 380 g/m2 or more and 800 m2/g or less.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a shear deformation-type bimorphic piezoelectric actuator. The actuator includes at least a pair of shear deformation-type piezoelectric ceramic members which are polarized in the height direction thereof, coated with metal electrodes on both sides thereof and attached to opposite sides of a metal block to constitute a piezoelectric bimorph. The ceramic members are forced to undergo a face shear deformation or a resonance deformation upon receiving a driving voltage, whereby the metal block and the output head mounted thereon are driven to generate an elliptical motion, which in turn drives a rotor or a carriage to move. Taking advantage of the small dimension of the ceramic members and the enhanced displacement attributed to the piezoelectric bimorph structure, the piezoelectric actuator disclosed herein is suitable for manufacturing a miniature piezoelectric motor with high power output.

    Abstract: A vibration energy harvester, a power accumulator and a power supplier, including: a multi-stable shell with one or more bistable regions and at least one piezoelectric element fixed on a surface of the multi-stable shell. Each of the bistable regions has two different stable configurations, and different combinations of the stable configurations of the one or more bistable regions make the multi-stable shell have a plurality of different stable configurations. The one or more bistable regions are switched between the two stable configurations thereof when being excited by vibration energy, so that the multi-stable shell is switched between the plurality of stable configurations to deform the piezoelectric element to generate electric energy.

    Abstract: An actuator and tactile sensation providing apparatus include an actuator including a piezoelectric element, a vibration plate, and a support. The vibration plate has the piezoelectric element joined thereto and vibrates in accordance with displacement of the piezoelectric element. The support supports the vibration plate and is configured so that an end of the vibration plate is displaced more in a longitudinal direction than in a normal direction of the vibration plate in accordance with displacement of the piezoelectric element. The angle between the vibration plate and the support is acute. The tactile sensation providing apparatus can further include an object of vibration configured to provide a tactile sensation to a user by vibration of the vibration plate being transmitted to the object of vibration.
