摘要: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a refrigeration system that includes a compressor configured to circulate refrigerant along a refrigerant loop, a motor configured to drive the compressor, and a variable speed drive coupled to the motor and configured to supply power to the motor. The variable speed drive includes a primary winding of a step down transformer coupled to an alternating current (AC) power source, a first secondary winding of the step down transformer, where the first secondary winding is configured to supply power at a variable supplied voltage to the motor when the motor operates below a threshold voltage, and a second secondary winding of the step down transformer, where the second secondary winding is configured to supply power at a fixed supplied voltage when the motor operates at or above the threshold voltage.

The inverter 20 has a plurality of switching elements, and controls the plurality of switching elements based on gate signals Gun, Gup, Gvn, Gyp, Gwn, and Gwv to drive the AC motor 10.

摘要: A method for determining an error in the angular position measurement of a timepiece motor having one or more phases, including: detecting (3) each instant (14) when the value of one of the back electromotive forces is zero, storing (4) a time corresponding to each detected instant, measuring (5) several time intervals between two instants (14) detected in the same revolution of the motor, comparing (6) the measured time intervals to reference time intervals to deduce the reference intervals to which they correspond, and determining (7) an angular position measurement error if the measured intervals do not correspond to the expected reference intervals. The invention also relates to a method for correcting the angular position measurement. Also, a determination and correction system for implementing the methods and a timepiece including such a system.

摘要: A PFC circuit is provided. A first bridge rectifier receives an AC voltage. A power converter includes a switch and receives an output of the first bridge rectifier, converts the output to a first DC voltage, and supplies the first DC voltage to a DC bus to power a compressor. A second bridge rectifier receives the AC voltage and bypasses at least one of the first bridge rectifier, a choke and a diode of the PFC circuit to provide a rectified AC voltage out of the second bridge rectifier to the DC bus to power the compressor. A control module controls operation of a driver to transition the switch between open and closed states to adjust a second DC voltage on the DC bus, where the second DC voltage, depending on the AC and second DC voltages, is based on the first DC voltage or the rectified AC voltage.

The electrical machine includes a rotor, a first stator system and a second stator system. The first onboard electrical sub-system includes a first inverter with a first link capacitor. The first stator system is associated with the first inverter. The second onboard electrical sub-system includes a second inverter with a second link capacitor. The second stator system is associated with the second inverter. The first stator system is configured in a star configuration. The second stator system is configured in a star configuration or in a delta configuration. A transfer circuit connects the star point of the first stator system to a higher potential of the second onboard electrical sub-system.

摘要: A method and apparatus for operating an electric motor is presented. A transmit magnetic field is received at a group of receive coils having a group of axes oriented substantially parallel to magnetic field lines from a transmit coil and having a group of resonant frequencies. A resonant frequency in the group of resonant frequencies is different from other receive coils in the group of receive coils. A receive magnetic field is generated at a receive coil in the group of receive coils having the resonant frequency when the transmit magnetic field has a selected frequency matching the resonant frequency. The receive magnetic field attracts a rotor in the electric motor.

摘要: A motor drive control apparatus according to the present invention includes: a three-phase rectifier to rectify an AC voltage supplied from a three-phase AC source; a booster circuit including a reactor, a switching element, and a backflow preventing element, to boost a DC bus voltage supplied from the three-phase rectifier; a smoothing capacitor to smooth an output of the booster circuit; and an inverter circuit to convert the DC bus voltage smoothed by the smoothing capacitor into an AC voltage and supplying the AC voltage to a motor. During a starting operation of a boosting operation of the booster circuit or a stopping operation of the boosting operation thereof, a rotation speed of the motor is fixed.

摘要: Switches of a switching circuit used to control operation of an electric motor such as in an electrically powered vehicle connect respective windings of the electric motor as a single phase inductor during battery charging. The inductor can then store inherent low frequency, second order ripple power and return that power to a load presented by a battery during battery charging to deliver substantially constant current. Storage of ripple power in the inductor allows the capacitance value, size, weight and cost of a filter capacitor of a power factor correction circuit providing input power to a battery charger to be reduced by an order of magnitude or more. Direction of current flow through the inductor is periodically reversed to avoid magnetizing the motor.
