摘要: A first plurality of roofing shingles installed in a first plurality of rows on a roof deck, and a second plurality of roofing shingles installed in a second plurality of rows. An edge of one of the second roofing shingles in each of the second rows is offset from the edge of another one of the second roofing shingles in another adjacent one of the second rows. An edge of a first photovoltaic shingle is juxtaposed with the edge of a first roofing shingle of the second roofing shingles in a first row of the second rows. The edge of at least another photovoltaic shingle in at least one of another row of the second rows is substantially aligned with the edge of the first photovoltaic shingle. An additional roofing shingle is installed intermediate one of the second roofing shingles and one of the photovoltaic shingles.

摘要: Some embodiments of the present disclosure relate to an integrated photovoltaic (PV) roofing shingle comprising a photovoltaic (PV) module and a roofing shingle. In some embodiments, the roofing shingle is bonded to the PV module. In some embodiments, a bond strength between the roofing shingle and the PV module is from 5 N/mm to 60 N/mm tested according to ASTM D1876. In some embodiments, the integrated PV roofing shingle has a mass per unit area of 0.5 lb per square foot to 5 lbs per square foot. Methods, systems, and kits including the integrated PV roofing shingle are also disclosed.

摘要: Solar collection and storage module systems as building blocks are provided to build walls or shingles of buildings to transform any buildings into stabilized power generation stations and tie to power grid to form power grid-interactive efficient buildings. The solar collection and storage module system comprises a hybrid photovoltaic and thermal panel, thermoelectric modules, thermal storage package, control system, and battery storage. The incident sunlight is partially converted into electricity directly by the photovoltaic part of the system directly, and rest part is transformed into heat which is extracted, boosted to high temperature, and stored into the thermal storage package by the thermoelectric modules operating in cooler mode at this movement. At night or in cloudy days, the stored heat flow through the thermoelectric modules, which are switched to generator mode by the control system, generating electricity. In the module system, the cogenerated heat is stored in thermal energy format and outputted in electrical energy format; the total conversion efficiency of the module system is significantly improved. When the module systems are used as wall modules or shingles to build buildings, the encapsulation properties of the buildings are substantially improved.

The bus bars of two adjacent PV modules are electrically connected to one another in parallel by a connector, so that the bus bars together with the connectors form an electrical grid.

摘要: One embodiment can provide a photovoltaic roof tile module. The photovoltaic roof tile module can include a front encapsulant layer and a back encapsulant layer where both the front and back encapsulant layers include different pigments. The front encapsulant layer can include a small amount of pigment that absorbs and scatters particular frequencies of visible light to give the photovoltaic roof tile a desired color. The small amount of pigment does not absorb or scatter a significant amount of infrared light. Two or more photovoltaic roof tiles can be combined to form a photovoltaic module. The two or more photovoltaic roof tiles can have different concentrations of pigment in the front encapsulant layer to give the photovoltaic module a small amount of color variation.
