摘要: Tools and techniques are described to create an interface that can translate a device language into an internal language, and describe the device to the controller in terms of actors and quanta such that when a device is attached to a controller, the controller can understand what the device does and why it does it. This internal language can then be translated back to a natural language, such as English. This allows the controller to track errors, determine what upstream or downstream device and action of the device caused the error, and to track many different facts of the system that allow for detailed reports.

摘要: A system includes a plurality of controllers associated with the plurality of units of building equipment, each controller comprising a plurality of communication ports, a plurality of cables connected to the plurality of communication ports and linking together the plurality of controllers, wherein the plurality of controllers are configured to self-identify a break in a connection between two the plurality of controllers by monitoring statuses of the plurality of communication ports. The system also includes circuitry configured to receive a signal indicative of the order of the connections between the plurality of controllers from the plurality of controllers, generate a graphical map of the order of the connections between the plurality of controllers based on the signal, receive, from the plurality of controllers, an indication of a break in a connection between two of the plurality of controllers, and update the graphical map to indicate the connection as broken.

摘要: Tools and techniques are described to automate line testing when wiring devices (such as equipment and sensors) to controllers. Controllers have access to databases of the devices that are controlled by them, including wiring diagrams and protocols, such that the controller can automatically check that each wire responds correctly to stimulus from the controller. After testing, a reporting device rapidly shows the results of the line testing.

摘要: A detection apparatus according to the present disclosure includes a signal output unit configured to output a measurement signal that includes a component having a first frequency to a transmission line, a signal measurement unit configured to measure a response signal, from the transmission line, to the measurement signal output from the signal output unit and a processing unit configured to generate a difference signal that is a difference between the response signal measured by the signal measurement unit and a reference signal that is based on the measurement signal, calculate an index value that indicates a strength of a correlation between the reference signal and the difference signal, and detect an abnormality in the transmission line on the basis of the calculated index value.

The resources may have a predefined physics nature that includes physics equations, allowable inputs and outputs, etc. The system then can determine how many controllers are needed of what type, and create a guided wiring system. In some implementations a user can control certain aspects of the wiring system, such as how full the individual controllers are and how much money is to be spent on labor versus money spent on equipment.
