摘要: An antenna system of a satellite may consist of an antenna receiver that is coupled to a plurality of flexible couplings. The couplings may each be affixed to one or more antenna elements. The couplings may be deployed in space in an uncontrolled manner. Additionally, the spacing between the couplings, and in turn the antenna elements, may be spaced in an uncontrolled manner. The antenna elements may have no pointing requirements. The antenna system may receive training signals and associate an antenna element to a time of arrival based on the training signal. Upon receiving a data signal, the antenna system may apply coefficients determined from the association of the antenna element to the time of arrival to the data signal to discover wanted signal coherence among the antenna elements.

摘要: There is provided mechanisms for performing a beam management procedure. A method is performed by a network node. The method comprises obtaining configuration information from a terminal device for which the network node provides network access. The configuration information specifies that the terminal device is in need for evaluating different polarization states in different time units during the beam management procedure. The method comprises performing the beam management procedure with the terminal device. The beam management procedure involves the network node to, per slot, transmit reference signals according to a reference signal transmission scheme. The reference signal transmission scheme depends on the obtained configuration information.

The multi-band software defined antenna array tile may include a plurality of coupled dipole array antenna elements; a plurality of frequency converters; and a plurality of digital beamformers.

The method includes determining a first channel quality information (CQI) associated with a location and a first time point, predicting traffic flow data associated with the location and a second time point subsequent to the first time point, predicting a second CQI associated with the location and the second time point based on the first CQI and the predicted traffic flow, and selectively transmitting a message comprising the second CQI, the location, and the second time point to at least one transportation vehicle based on the second CQI. Also disclosed is a transportation vehicle and a road side unit (RSU) for performing the method.

摘要: A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may be configured to measure a downlink quality associated with at least one first beam. The WTRU may be configured to determine whether the measured downlink quality associated with the at least one first beam is below a threshold value. The WTRU may be configured to receive at least one control channel transmission using a determined second beam, based on, in part, a determination that the measured downlink quality associated with the at least one first beam is below the threshold value. The determined second beam used to receive the at least one control channel transmission may be a same beam that is used to receive an associated data channel transmission. The determined second beam may be from a set of beams. The set of beams may be received via higher layer signaling.

摘要: An air interface plane (AIP) of a radio frequency (RF) aperture includes: a circuit board having a first side and a second side opposite the first side; and a matrix of tapered elements arranged on the first side of the circuit board and secured to the circuit board, the matrix of tapered elements cooperating to at least one of receive or transmit an over-the-air RF signal. Suitably, each tapered element of the matrix has: a central hub extending along a longitudinal axis from a hub base which is proximate to the first side of the circuit board to an apex of the tapered element which is distal from the first side of the first circuit board; and a plurality of arms extending from the central hub at the apex of the tapered element, each of the plurality of arms including a first portion that projects the arm radially away from the longitudinal axis and a second portion that projects the arm longitudinally toward the first side of the circuit board.
