摘要: A system for providing communication in a distributed land mobile radio (LMR) system architecture. In some embodiments, the system includes a first controller associated with an LMR site. The first controller may be configured to control communication, via a communication channel, of a plurality of LMRs. In some embodiments, the system further includes a first repeater of a plurality of repeaters associated with the LMR site. The first repeater may include at least an active mode. The first repeater may be in the active mode to initiate a simulcast controller operation using the communication channel of the plurality of repeaters.

摘要: A wireless communication network wirelessly serves User Equipment (UE) over a wireless relay and a wireless access point. The wireless relay exchanges user data with the UE over a UE bearer and exchanges the user data with the wireless access point over a relay bearer. The wireless access point preempts the relay bearer responsive to excessive loading. The wireless relay detects a UE bearer having enhanced UE Quality-of-Service (QoS) and responsively transfers a relay request to the wireless access point. The wireless access point receives the relay request and responsively disables preemption for the wireless relay. The wireless relay exchanges user data with the UE over the other UE bearer having the enhanced UE QoS and exchanges the user data with the wireless access point over the relay bearer having the enhanced relay QoS.

摘要: In a method of identifying a metric associated with a business, a computer system associated with the business, recognizes a first user associated with a first communication device and a second user associated with a second communication device, where the first user is recognized as a customer of the business and the second user is recognized as an employee of the business. The computer system observes a communication between the first communication device and the second communication device, where at least a portion of the communication is an audible communication. The computer system identifies the metric based on the communication between the employee and the customer. The computer system makes the metric available for decision making purposes.

摘要: A cellular repeater system is provided. The cellular repeater system includes an outdoor antenna communicatively coupled to a repeater. The outdoor antenna is configured to relay communications from the repeater to a cellular base station. The outdoor antenna includes a plurality of log-periodic antennas rotated relative to one another such that each of the plurality of log-periodic antennas is pointed in a different direction. The cellular repeater system includes a switching device configured to selectively couple one or more of the plurality of log-periodic antennas to a RF transceiver of the repeater in order to configure the outdoor antenna in a plurality of antenna modes. Each of the plurality of antenna modes have a distinct radiation pattern.

摘要: A technology is described for adjusting repeater gain based on user equipment need. A downlink path of the repeater can be deactivated. A deactivated throughput value can be received from the UE for data received at the UE in a selected time period. The downlink amplification path of the repeater can be activated. An activated throughput value for data received at the UE in the selected time period can be received from the UE. A difference can be determined between the deactivated throughput value and the activated throughput value. A repeater gain value can be reduced or bypassed when the deactivated throughput value is greater than the activated throughput value by a selected threshold value.

摘要: A decentralized communication device is provided that facilitates optimal positioning and orientation of one or more antennas for wireless communication with external devices. The decentralized communication device includes one or more master components and one or more slave components. The master and the slave components are physically separate and communicate wirelessly. In some embodiments the slave acts as a carrier frequency translator between the master and an external wireless device, where it communicates with the external device using a first frequency and communicates with the master using a second frequency which is different from the first frequency. In another embodiment the slave has most or all the physical layer to do the digital coding, digital modulation, data framing, data formatting and data packetization for communicating with an external device, in which case digital coding and digital modulation is distributed between the master and the slave.

摘要: Disclosed systems and methods configure a plurality of wireless access points to perform probe request handling operations including, responsive to receiving a probe request from a mobile device, relaying the probe request to a network controller, and responsive to receiving a probe response from the network controller, relaying the probe response to the mobile device. The network controller is configured to provide the mobile device with a multipoint wireless network by identifying two or more of the plurality of wireless access points as selected access points for multipoint transmission with the mobile device, coordinating the selected access points to allow simultaneous transmissions to the mobile device from each of the selected access points, and forwarding a probe response indicative of the selected access points to the selected access points.
