    摘要: A method for performing a cell search in a multi-subscription device is provided. The method includes estimating, by a first subscriber identity module (SIM) of multiple SIMs of the multi-subscription device, search time information required for identifying one cell and margin time information for cell search, where the first SIM is associated with a first radio access technology (RAT); obtaining a discontinuous reception (DRX) period of a second SIM associated with a second RAT in the multi-subscription device; determining a number of cells to be searched during the DRX period based on the estimated information; performing a measurement for one or more cells to be searched based on the number of the cells; ranking the one or more cells based on the measurement; and initiating a cell search on one or more cells having a highest signal strength during the DRX period.

    摘要: Devices and methods are provided for reducing client node power consumption when monitoring first and second channels corresponding to first and second access nodes in a heterogeneous wireless-enabled communications environment. Enhanced Inter-Cell Interference Coordination (eICIC) operations are performed to mitigate interference between a first access node and a second access node. The client node monitors first and second channels corresponding to the first and second access nodes. The client node receives restricted measurement data transmitted on the first channel, which is then processed to schedule cessation of monitoring the first channel to reduce power consumption and thereby conserve battery resources.

    摘要: The present description proposes a user equipment for processing data related to contention-based random access in a wireless communication system. The present description proposes to separately handle random access related parameters according to access type of a user equipment. Examples of the access type include normal access and delay tolerant access. In detail, a system information block indicating a first maximum number of preamble transmission applicable to a first type UE performing normal access and a second maximum number of preamble transmission applicable to a second type UE performing delay tolerant access is proposed. Further, back-off interval information used to indicate first type back-off interval information applicable to the first type UE and second type back-off interval information applicable to the second type UE is proposed.

The system and method improve resource usage efficiency.
