Abstract: This application discloses a packet processing method including: receiving a first packet that includes a DA field and an SRH, where the DA field includes at least one C-SID that is sequentially arranged; determining, depending on whether another C-SID is further included after a first C-SID corresponding to the first node in the at least one C-SID, whether a first processing flavor corresponding to the first C-SID indicates a movement operation or a replacement operation; and if the first processing flavor indicates a movement operation, moving a target field that is after the first C-SID and that is in the DA field, to enable the target field to cover the first C-SID in the DA field; or if the first processing flavor indicates a replacement operation, replacing the first C-SID in the DA field with a second C-SID in the SRH.

Abstract: A traffic split transmission (“TST”) system capable of transmitting a data flow via multiple communication networks is disclosed. The TST system, in one aspect, includes a receiver, a link selector, a split unit, a tag module, and a delay module. The receiver obtains a data flow containing one or more packets with a destination at a user terminal (“UT”). The link selector fetches link characteristics associated with the current status of available links. The split unit splits the data flow into a first and a second packets. The tag module generates tags for the first and the second packets. The delay module is configured to delay transmission of a selected packet(s) so that the first packet and the second packet can arrive at UT at approximately the same time.

Abstract: A routing system can provide a Dynamic-Hybrid Forwarding Information Base (DHFIB). A control component of the routing system can build a routing table that includes routing information (e.g., prefixes, addresses, etc.) for use by a first routing component. The routing table can be ordered or ranked based on traffic information from the first routing component. Then, the control component can create the DHFIB from the routing table, wherein the DHFIB is a portion of the routing table and related to the first routing component. As such, the portion of the routing table selected for the DHFIB can be the set of prefixes in the routing table that represent the most frequently routed or most important prefixes in the routing table. Finally, the control component can forward the DHFIB to the first routing component to allow the routing component to route communications.

Abstract: Some embodiments of the invention provide a method for using route filtering to relay routes between members of hub router clusters in an SD-WAN to reduce redundant route notifications to route reflectors (RRs) that advertise routes to hub routers in multiple regions connected by the SD-WAN and multiple edge routers at sites across the multiple regions. The method is performed at a first hub router of a first cluster. From a first edge router at a first site in a first region, the method receives routes of the first edge router. The method distributes the routes of the first edge router to a particular RR directly connected to the first cluster. The method distributes, to each other hub router of the first cluster, the routes of the first edge router along with an identifier that indicates that the routes should not be redistributed to the particular RR.

The logic, upon execution by one or more processors, causes performance of operations including receiving network traffic at the transit gateway from an originating VPC deployed within the cloud computing network, routing the network traffic from the transit gateway to the first gateway, providing the network traffic to the first firewall instance for inspection, and routing the network traffic to a destination VPC deployed within the cloud computing network. In embodiments, the first gateway is connected to a plurality of firewall instances, where each instance of the plurality of firewall instances is an active firewall instance.

Abstract: Described are aspects of a sharded monitoring system that collects metrics data from a plurality of targets within a monitored system. The monitoring system includes multiple monitoring-server instances each collecting metrics data from a respective subset of the targets, as well as a federation server that collects aggregated metrics data from the other monitoring-server instances. Mappings between monitoring targets and monitoring-server instances collecting their metrics data may be stored in a temporal routing map, e.g., on the federation server, which may build the map based on time-series routing metrics received from the other monitoring-server instances. The routing map may be used to direct queries for metrics data from a client to the appropriate monitoring-server instance.

Abstract: A system may include a transmitter node and a receiver node. Each node may include a communications interface including at least one antenna element and a controller operatively coupled to the communications interface, the controller including one or more processors, wherein the controller of the receiver node has information of own node velocity and own node orientation. The receiver node may be in motion and the transmitter node may be stationary. Each node may be time synchronized to apply Doppler corrections associated with said node's own motions relative to a common reference frame. The common reference frame may be known to the transmitter node and the receiver node prior to the transmitter node transmitting signals to the receiver node and prior to the receiver node receiving the signals from the transmitter node.

Abstract: This disclosure provides examples of a packet processing method, apparatus, and system. An example method includes: a first network device receives a first packet, determines a second packet based on the first packet and a first segment identifier SID, and forwards the second packet based on a label forwarding path. The second packet is an IPv6 packet, and includes a data packet and the first SID. The first SID includes a first prefix and at least one MPLS label. The first prefix indicates that the first SID carries the at least one MPLS label, and the at least one MPLS label indicates to use a label forwarding path determined by using the at least one MPLS label to implement IPv6 forwarding. According to the technical solution provided in this application, MPLS forwarding can be implemented on an IPv6 path.
