Abstract: Disclosed are methods and apparatuses for image data encoding/decoding. A method of decoding an image includes receiving a bitstream in which the image is encoded; obtaining index information for specifying a block division type of a current block in the image; and determining the block division type of the current block from a candidate group pre-defined in the decoding apparatus. The candidate group includes a plurality of candidate division types, including at least one of a non-division, a first quad-division, a second quad-division, a binary-division or a triple-division. The method also includes dividing the current block into a plurality of sub-blocks; and decoding each of the sub-blocks with reference to syntax information obtained from the bitstream.

Abstract: Various embodiments include facilitating video playback, based on an HTML iframe and a headless browser. To that end, in some embodiments, a method is performed at a first device, which may be referred to as a receiving device. The first device includes a processor, a non-transitory memory, and a communication interface. The communication interface enables commutation with a second device, which may be referred to as a sending device. The method includes receiving the HTML iframe from the second device. The HTML iframe may include a video tag, or the video tag may be nested in another HTML iframe. Moreover, the method includes playing a video stream that is identified by the video tag. Playing the video stream includes executing the HTML iframe via the headless browser to retrieve the video stream based on the video tag, and transmitting the video stream to a display device.

The logic is further operable to determine a synchronization error between the first image and the second image based on the overlap.

Abstract: Methods, systems and apparatus for compensating vision loss for a patient. In some embodiments, a computer processor receives vision loss data associated with a vision loss region of an eye of a patient from a head mounted display (HMD) device worn by the patient, generates a parameterized perceptual loss model, and then generates inverse data to correct for color loss, contrast and luminance desaturation, and visual rotational and spatial distortion suffered by the eye of the patient. The computer processor then transmits the inverse data to the HMD device being worn by the patient for use in correcting the visual rotational and spatial distortion loss of the eye of the patient.

In one implementation, a non-transitory computer-readable medium may include a sparse map for autonomous vehicle navigation along a road segment. The sparse map may include at least one line representation of a road surface feature extending along the road segment, each line representation representing a path along the road segment substantially corresponding with the road surface feature, and wherein the road surface feature is identified through image analysis of a plurality of images acquired as one or more vehicles traverse the road segment and a plurality of landmarks associated with the road segment.
