    Abstract: Disclosed are methods and apparatuses for image data encoding/decoding. A method of decoding an image includes receiving a bitstream in which the image is encoded; obtaining index information for specifying a block division type of a current block in the image; and determining the block division type of the current block from a candidate group pre-defined in the decoding apparatus. The candidate group includes a plurality of candidate division types, including at least one of a non-division, a first quad-division, a second quad-division, a binary-division or a triple-division. The method also includes dividing the current block into a plurality of sub-blocks; and decoding each of the sub-blocks with reference to syntax information obtained from the bitstream.

    Abstract: Various embodiments include facilitating video playback, based on an HTML iframe and a headless browser. To that end, in some embodiments, a method is performed at a first device, which may be referred to as a receiving device. The first device includes a processor, a non-transitory memory, and a communication interface. The communication interface enables commutation with a second device, which may be referred to as a sending device. The method includes receiving the HTML iframe from the second device. The HTML iframe may include a video tag, or the video tag may be nested in another HTML iframe. Moreover, the method includes playing a video stream that is identified by the video tag. Playing the video stream includes executing the HTML iframe via the headless browser to retrieve the video stream based on the video tag, and transmitting the video stream to a display device.

    Abstract: A system and method of stereoscopic image processing by at least one processor may include receiving, from a first imaging device, having a first field of view (FOV), and located at a first, initially unknown position, a first image of a scene; receiving, from a second imaging device, having a second, different FOV, and located at a second, initially unknown position, a second image of the scene; calculating a plurality of flow lines in the first image, wherein each flow line represents an optical flow between a pixel of the first image and a corresponding pixel of the second image; and calibrating the imaging devices by determining at least one parameter of relative position between the first imaging device and second imaging device, based on the calculated flow lines.

    Abstract: An apparatus includes one or more processors and logic encoded in one or more non-transitory media for execution by the one or more processors and when executed operable to receive a first image of an object, wherein the first image was captured by a first camera in a set of cameras. The logic is further operable to determine first keypoints and a first pose for the object based on the first image. The logic is further operable to receive a second image from a second camera in the set of cameras. The logic is further operable to determine an overlap of the first image and the second image based on locations of the first keypoints, the second keypoints, the first pose, and the second pose. The logic is further operable to determine a synchronization error between the first image and the second image based on the overlap.

The present technology is applicable to a real-time volumetric system that transmits a free viewpoint moving image in real time.
