摘要: A method for encoding a block is disclosed. To this aim, a split mode is determined based on a rate-distortion optimization using a texture-based split prediction set obtained for the block. As an example, the split mode is determined by adapting the texture-based split prediction set according to at least one of a binary or triple split mode non-redundancy constraint or a heuristic-based split mode set pruning. The block is finally encoded using the determined split mode.

providing image item information identifying a portion of the data part representing a sub-image or an image of a single image and/or a set of single images;
providing image description information comprising parameters including display parameters and/or transformation operators relating to one or more images and
outputting said bitstream together with said provided information as an encapsulated data file.
Said image item information comprises one or more properties including at least part of the image description information dedicated to the considered sub-image or single image or set of single images, said image description information being defined in one or more boxes.-

摘要: A method includes encoding video at a first bitrate to produce first encoded sections, and at a second bitrate that is less than the first bitrate to produce second encoded sections. The method further includes measuring levels of objective quality, indicative of perceptual quality, of the first and second encoded sections. The method includes determining, based on the measured objective quality levels, replaceable sections among the first encoded sections, and replacement sections among the second encoded sections, each of the replacement sections to replace a corresponding one of the replaceable sections. The method includes streaming the first encoded sections except for the replaceable sections, and the replacement sections instead of their corresponding replaceable sections.

摘要: A video coding mechanism is disclosed. The mechanism includes encoding a coded picture into a bitstream. A current supplemental enhancement information (SEI) message that comprises a decoding unit (DU) hypothetical reference decoder (HRD) parameters present flag (du_hrd_params_present_flag) is also encoded into the bitstream. The du_hrd_params_present_flag specifies whether DU level HRD parameters are present in the bitstream. A set of bitstream conformance tests is performed on the bitstream based on the current SEI message. The bitstream is stored for communication toward a decoder.

A video decoding device performs display control corresponding to a format of the both video by analyzing display control information in display control information analyzer. The display control information includes sequence unit display control information which is commonly used in a display process of all pictures that belong to a sequence to be decoded and picture unit display control information which is individually used in a display process of a picture to be decoded. A second code string analyzer acquires each of the sequence unit display control information and the picture unit display control information from an extended information area in units of pictures.

The video transmission device may include: receiving a video signal, setting a dual-bandwidth threshold which is a reference value for determining whether to change a resolution or a frame rate of the video signal, determining a network bandwidth prediction value based on specified control information received from a video reception device, determining whether to change the resolution or frame rate of the video based on the network bandwidth prediction value and the dual-bandwidth threshold, updating frame sequence information based on the resolution or frame rate being changed, setting an encoding parameter based on the changed resolution or frame rate, encoding the video signal based on the set encoding parameter, and transmitting the encoded video signal to the video reception device.

In certain improvements Direct Mode encoding and/or Motion Vector Prediction are enhanced using spatial prediction techniques. In other improvements Motion Vector prediction includes temporal distance and subblock information, for example, for more accurate prediction. Such improvements and other presented herein significantly improve the performance of any applicable video coding system/logic.
