摘要: A method, system and computer program product for enabling early collision detection and handling in Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA)-based radio-frequency identification (RFID) systems. A tag receives an instruction from a reader to reflect either a single encoded bit or multiple encoded bits. The tag then reflects either the single encoded bit or the multiple encoded bits to the reader. The reader decodes the received encoded bit(s) from the tag, where the decoded bit(s) are placed in a vector or matrix by the reader. The vector/matrix is then transmitted to the tag, which determines if the reflected bit(s) agree with the corresponding bit(s) in the vector/matrix thereby indicating whether the reflected bit(s) were read successfully by the reader. The tag will then enter a no reflection mode in response to a disagreement between the reflected bit(s) with the corresponding bit(s) in the vector/matrix thereby preventing collisions from occurring.

摘要: The present disclosure provides methods for screening subjects at a subordinate location within a geographic region, or a subordinate space within the subordinate location for an infectious agent. Such methods may comprise assigning a risk score to each of the one or more subordinate locations or subordinate spaces based on an amount of infectious agent in pooled environmental samples and pooled biological samples in a subordinate location or subordinate space as compared to each other subordinate location or subordinate space, and then screening biological samples from subordinate locations or subordinate spaces that have a higher risk score before screening biological samples from subordinate locations or subordinate spaces that have a lower risk score. Methods for determining a risk of a viral infection in one or more geographic regions are also provided.

摘要: A system simultaneously tracks multiple objects. All or a subset of the objects includes a wireless receiver and a transmitter for providing an output. The system includes one or more wireless transmitters that send commands to the wireless receivers of the multiple objects instructing different subsets of the multiple objects to output (via their respective transmitter) at different times. The system also includes object sensors that receive output from the transmitters of the multiple objects and a computer system in communication with the object sensors. The computer system calculates locations of the multiple objects based on the sensed output from the multiple objects.

摘要: A method and system for determining a position of tagged objects by their proximity to each other, where the position of a target object is provided as common names of other objects nearby. This allows new ways of tracking objects that are required to be together with each other, or to be within a certain area, while reducing the power consumption of electronic tags and tag readers.

摘要: An apparatus is disclosed, comprising a detector unit comprising a detector configured to detect an actuation action performable via the detector unit to an actuation button of a medical device to cause the medical device to eject at least a portion of a medicament comprised in the medical device. The detector is configured to detect the actuation action based on a detection of a force and/or a touch applied to the detector unit as part of the actuation action. The apparatus further comprises an electric unit connected to the detector and configured to store and/or provide information related to the detected actuation action. Furthermore, an according method and a computer program for controlling this method are disclosed.

摘要: A method and system for connecting a power tool with a mobile device. The mobile device receives a user request to connect to a power tool and transmits a short-range advertisement. The power tool receives the short-range advertisement and transmits a signal. The mobile device receives the signal from the power tool and determines a signal strength. The mobile device compares the signal strength to a predetermined signal strength value. When the signal strength value exceeds the predetermined signal strength value, the mobile device connects with the power tool.

摘要: A multi-mode, preferably dual mode, radio frequency identification (RFID) tag is adapted for automatic detection of whether a RFID reader located within communication range of the RFID tag is transmitting a continuous wave (CW) or modulated wave types of RF signal, and accordingly, mandating a response from the tag in read-only (RO) mode or read/write (R/W) mode, respectively. The tag includes means for designating one of the RO and R/W operating modes as a default mode of the tag, and for switching the tag from its default mode to its other operating mode, and vice versa, according to a rule for determining the frequency of occurrence of a selected event related to signal type of the reader. A device-implemented method of this automatic detection, and a method of fabricating the tag, are also disclosed.

摘要: Communication between a wireless base-station and a microwave reflector link are enhanced by feeding back a portion of the transmitter signal, adjusted for phase and amplitude, to cancel ambient reflection blocker signals being received at the base-station. The microwave reflector link does not utilize a transmitter gain stage, but communicates data back to the base-station in response to modulating the reflections of its antenna (e.g., in gain and/or phase). The disclosure aids in the proper amplification and processing of reflection signals from the microwave reflector link, by canceling out the blocking signals which arise as background objects reflect transmitter signal energy back to the base-station.
