Abstract: A composition comprising guanidine compounds is disclosed in the present disclosure. Also disclosed is a laundry or cleaning composition comprising the guanidine compounds wherein the composition prevents dye bleeding from colored articles and also inhibits dye transfer from colored articles to another co-article or to the same article during laundering.

Abstract: A hair straightening or styling composition provided herein comprises; (i) citraconic acid; (ii) (a) a reducing agent and/or (b) an aldehyde, a. thioacetal, a. ketone or an alcohol; (Hi) a buffering agent; (iv) an oxidizing agent; (v) optionally a carboxylic or dicarboxylic acid; and (vi) at least one solvent. Also provided herein is a method of straightening or styling hair using such composition.
