摘要: A method of printing a porous and/or non-porous three-dimensional structure is disclosed herein. The method includes providing an ink composition including a polymer dissolved in a solvent, dispensing the ink composition into a non-solvent at a temperature ranging from 20°C to 30°C, wherein the non-solvent renders precipitation of the ink composition to form the porous and/or non-porous three-dimensional structure in the non-solvent, and removing the non-solvent from the porous and/or non-porous three-dimensional structure. Disclosed herein includes a system operable to print a porous and/or non-porous three-dimensional structure, the system includes a syringe operable to dispense an ink composition into a non-solvent at a temperature ranging from 20°C to 30°C, wherein the ink composition includes a polymer dissolved in a solvent, and a motion control module which controls vertical and horizontal positioning of the syringe.

摘要: Herein disclosed is a method of printing a 3D freeform structure in an embedding medium. The method includes providing an ink composition in a nozzle, wherein the ink composition includes a thermoplastic, a non-thermoplastic, a thermally degradable polymer, and/or a thermosensitive polymer, dissolved in a solvent; dispensing the ink composition through a nozzle into the embedding medium to precipitate a printed structure from the ink composition, wherein the ink composition exits from the nozzle directly in the embedding medium; and maintaining the printed structure in the embedding medium until the immersion precipitation is completed for forming the 3D freeform structure. A system operable to carry out the method is also disclosed. The system includes a syringe coupled to a nozzle, wherein the syringe is operable to dispense an ink composition including a thermoplastic, a non-thermoplastic, a thermally degradable polymer, and/or a thermosensitive polymer, dissolved in a solvent, a motion control module which controls vertical and horizontal positioning of the syringe, and a support bath configured to house the embedding medium.

摘要: There is provided a method of forming a thin film-based microfluidic electronic device. The method includes: providing a first elastomeric thin film layer on a substrate; depositing a first elastomer on the first elastomeric thin film by direct ink writing to form an elastomeric structure configured to define a microfluidic channel on the first elastomeric thin film layer; providing a second elastomeric thin film layer over the elastomeric structure to cover the microfluidic channel; providing a sacrificial layer on the second elastomeric thin film; depositing liquid metal into the microfluidic channel to form a conductor in the microfluidic channel; and electrically connecting the conductor to an electronic component. The thin film-based microfluidic electronic device is a tissue or skin adhesive sensor including a skin adhesive acoustic device.

摘要: A method of fabricating a porous structure based on extrusion-based additive manufacturing is provided. The method includes: controlling a print head of an extruder to move along a print path for extruding a material along the print path on a print bed for fabricating the porous structure; and controlling an extrusion flow rate of the extruder, while the print head is being controlled to move along the print path for extruding the material, for forming a plurality of pores of the porous structure. In particular, for each pore of the plurality of pores, the above-mentioned controlling the extrusion flow rate includes adjusting the extrusion flow rate with respect to a first section of the print path to form a first extruded material portion along the first section of the print path and adjusting the extrusion flow rate with respect to a second section of the print path to form a second extruded material portion along the second section of the print path, the second extruded material portion formed being adjacent to and opposing the first extruded material portion formed, such that a space is formed therebetween constituting the pore. A corresponding system for fabricating a porous structure is also provided, as well as the porous structure fabricated.
