Abstract:
There is described an oil-in-water emulsion free of surfactant agents comprising: A) At least a cross-polymer acrylate/alkyl-acrylate or derivatives thereof, or mixtures thereof in the aqueous phase of the emulsion; b) At least a polyacrylate or derivatives thereof, or mixtures thereof in the oily phase of the emulsion, and c) At least a neutralizing agent. Further, the present invention refers to a process of obtaining a surfactant-free emulsion and its use in cosmetics and pharmaceuticals compositions. The emulsion in question can be applied to all kinds of skin, being also indicated for people with sensitive skin.
Abstract:
The present application relates to cosmetic compositions comprising ucuhuba butter (Virola surinamensis) capable of providing a matte effect, that is, eliminating the skin shine and/or oiliness. The present application also relates to the use of ucuhuba butter in body or facial emulsions and in makeup and to a process for the preparation of ucuhuba butter useful for the cosmetic compositions of the application.
Abstract:
The present invention refers to a process for obtaining standardized extracts of methylxanthine derivatives from cakes of plants of the genus Theobroma such as cacoa and cupuaçu for use in a composition having potential anti-celullite lipolytic activity.
Abstract:
The aim of the present invention is to obtain fatty esters from fatty acids derived from vegetable oils and butters, through an enzymatic process, so that said esters can act as emollients, emulsifiers and co-emulsifiers with differentiated performance, having high spreadability and slidability compared to the prior-art products. More specifically, the present invention relates to an enzymatic process for obtaining a fatty ester, comprising: a) obtaining a fatty acid through the enzymatic hydrolysis (saponification) of vegetable oils and butters selected from cupuagu butter, sapucainha butter, ucuύba butter, murumuru butter, palm olein, pataua oil, tucuma oil, inaja oil, passion fruit oil, pequi oil and nasturtium oil; b) reacting the fatty acid with a fatty alcohol selected from capric alcohol, caprylic alcohol, isoamylic alcohol, lauric alcohol, myristic alcohol, lorol (70:30 mixture of lauric alcohol and myristic alcohol), cetyl alcohol, ste- aryl alcohol, cetostearyl alcohol (70:30 mixture of cetyl alcohol and stearyl alcohol), sorbitol, sorbitan, glycerin, polyglycerin, other polyols and mixture thereof, in the presence of an enzyme, in at least one reactor, at a temperature of from 40 to 80QC; c) stirring the reaction solution; d) removing moisture from the reaction medium; e) vacuum filtering said solution to obtain the fatty ester. The fatty esters obtained through the process of the present invention can be used in the preparation of cosmetic compositions.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a process of preparing bar toilet soap, composed of multiply phases, at least one of them being an opaque phase and at least one being a translucent phase. The translucent phase and opaque phase (s) are mixed during the process, wherein the translucent phase is incorporated into the opaque phase during the extrusion of this second phase, giving rise to a toilet soap in which one of the phases predominate and the other appears as strips dispersed in the first one.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition comprising a filmogenic system constituted by at least dimethicone, trimethylsiloxysilicate, stearyl dimethicone, cyclopentasiloxane and dimethiconol, and an emulsifying system constituted by at least PEG-8 dimethicone. This composition imparts to the skin a high resistance to water and to sweat, as well as provides prolonged hydration. In addition, it imparts to user's hair a long time of curl retention, as well as a significant increase in brightness and strengthening of the individual hairs.
