Process for obtaining a fertilizer composition comprising (i) at least one nitrogen-containing fertilizer (F); and (ii) a nitrification inhibitor (N) selected from the group consisting of 2-(3,4-dimethyl-1H-pyrazol- 1-yl)succinic acid and/or 2-(4,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)succinic acid, an ammonium salt thereof, a potassium salt thereof, and another salt thereof comprising the steps: a) melting fertilizer (F), and/or providing a melt of fertilizer (F), and b) adding the nitrification inhibitor (N) to the melt of fertilizer (F).

The present invention relates to a process for preparing a formulation F for reducing nitrification. The present invention also relates to a formulation F obtainable by the process of the invention. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a process of preparing a fertilizer-nitrification inhibitor mixture, and to a fertilizer-nitrification inhibitor mixture obtainable by this process. Moreover, the present invention relates to a method of fertilizing agricultural soil.

The present invention relates to a metal-organic framework comprising (i) at least one metal M selected from the group consisting of Na, K, Ca, Mg, Zn, Fe, Mn, Cu, Al, Ni, and Mo in cationic form; and at least one substituted pyrazolate compound of formula (I). Further, the present invention relates to the use of the metal-organic framework of the invention and methods of applying the metal-organic framework of the invention for reducing nitrification. Moreover, the present invention relates to agrochemical mixtures and compositions comprising the metal-organic framework of the invention as well as to a method of treating a fertilizer comprising the application of a metal-organic framework of the invention.
