Abstract:
A method for rendering a user interface including selecting a user profile to be loaded as the user interface in response to a user accessing a digital display device, identifying and loading one or more content associated with the user profile, and rendering the user interface to include the content associated with the selected user profile for display on the digital display device.
Abstract:
A method for configuring a digital display device including determining whether a user is viewing the digital display device with a sensor, identifying an amount of ambient light around the digital display device with the sensor, and configuring one or more display settings on the digital display device in response to whether the user is viewing the digital display device and the amount of ambient light identified.
Abstract:
An example audio/visual (A/V) headset device comprises an actuator to transmit signals corresponding to a first non-verbal command to a processor of the A/V headset device. In response to the signals corresponding to the first non-verbal command, the processor to convert the first non-verbal command to a second non-verbal command. The processor is also to transmit the second non-verbal command to a computing device.
Abstract:
In one example, a system for remote device configurations can include a mobile computing device to: determine configuration information for a remote device, generate a configuration file based on a plurality of inputs corresponding to the configuration information of the remote device, transmit the configuration file to the remote device, and the remote device to alter a plurality of settings based on the received configuration file.
Abstract:
In example implementations, headsets to activate digital assistants and an apparatus for performing the same is provided. The method is performed by a processor of a headset. The method includes detecting a user invoked event. A first signal is transmitted to a host device to block audio to a currently activated application and to activate a digital assistant application on the host device. A second signal is received from the host device that the digital assistant application is activated. An audio cue that the digital assistant application is activated is played.
Abstract:
In one example of the disclosure, microphone data indicative of a user spoken phrase is captured utilizing a microphone. The microphone data is analyzed to detect a trigger phrase. A wakeup event is performed responsive to the detection of the trigger phrase. At least a portion of the microphone data is sent to the computing device for the computing device to send to a server system.
Abstract:
A non-transitory computer-readable medium includes instructions that, when executed by a processor, provide an audio interface to: communicate with an operating system of a host computer as a single audio device; accept audio input from multiple microphones; and provide an option to provide audio output to multiple speaker systems. A method includes: interacting with an operating system of a host computer using an audio interface, the audio interface appearing to the operating system as a single audio device; accepting audio input with the audio interface from multiple microphones; and providing an option to provide audio output with the audio interface to multiple speaker systems.
Abstract:
A media server in accordance with an example may include a reader, a hash checker, a database manager, and a server. The reader may read data from a removable storage. The hash checker may calculated a calculated hash value and determine if it is equal to a saved hash value. If the calculated hash value is equal to or does not equal the saved hash value, the database manager may retrieve a saved database or generate a generated database. The server may serve the saved database or the generated database.
Abstract:
Various embodiments of the present invention are directed to devices and methods for disconnecting storage devices from a network-attached storage device. In one embodiment of the present invention, a network-attached storage device (200) includes a bus (226, 228) that interconnects a central-processing unit (202), internal storage (206), and a port (212-215). The port is capable of interconnecting to an external storage device (218-221). The network-attached storage device (218-221) also includes a control program stored in the internal storage (204) and executed by the central-processing unit (202) that responds to an indication that the external storage device is to be disconnected. The network-attached storage device may also include a disconnection indicator that indicates that the external storage device is ready to be disconnected from the network-attached storage device.
Abstract:
In one example in accordance with the present disclosure, a headset is described. The headset includes a sensory input device and a pad surrounding the sensory input device. The pad includes a thermo-electric cooling (TEC) device having a first side and a second side. The first side is to cool and the second side is to heat when a voltage is applied to the TEC device. The pad also includes a cooling layer in contact with the first side of the TEC device and a heat spreading layer in contact with the second side of the TEC device. The pad also includes an enclosing material enveloping the pad.
