Abstract:
The present invention discloses an installation adapter for an illumination device, which includes a support component and a base, wherein the support component includes a plurality of arms which are combined in a manner of being movable relative to each other to make the support component vary in length and/or shape and at least one of which is arranged with an installation portion for installing an illuminant. The invention further relates to an illumination device including the installation adapter.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a socket for a wedge bulb to maintain excellent grounding performance despite vibration encountered in use. The wedge bulb includes a light emitting element and a connector protruding from a lower end of the light emitting element and provided at each of a front surface and a rear surface thereof with a pair of parallel elastic terminals. The socket includes an elastic supporting terminal unit provided at an inner wall surface of a coupling recess defined in the socket and serving to elastically support the connector inserted into the coupling recess while achieving electrical connection with the electric terminals. Any one of each pair of the electric terminals is pressed and supported by the elastic supporting terminal unit at a different height from the neighboring electric terminal provided at the same surface of the connector and the other electric terminals provided at the opposite surface of the connector.
Abstract:
A molded lamp socket. The molded lamp socket includes a lamp base body molded from a first plastic material providing a socket cavity with an opening for receiving a lamp bulb. The molded lamp socket also includes a lead extending from a first contact portion disposed in the socket cavity to a second contact portion spaced from the socket cavity. The molded lamp socket also includes a mounting body molded from a second plastic material providing a plug cavity encircling the second contact portion. The mounting body is overmolded with respect to the lamp base body.
Abstract:
A unit of a lamp and a reflector in which the lamp is fixed with its first seal (14) in a neck-shaped portion (5) of a reflector body (1). At its rear end, the neck-shaped portion is provided with a ceramic lamp cap (20). A ring (58) is provided around the first seal for counteracting the flow of cement (19) from the neck-shaped portion into the reflective portion (2) during manufacture of the unit. A spiral (35) is provided around the first seal, which spiral exerts resilient pressure on the ring towards the ceramic lamp cap, thus keeping the ring in position. When made of electrically conducting material, the spiral simultaneously functions as an external antenna.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a light fixture assembly. The assembly includes a light bulb socket with an opening at one end for accommodating C7/C9 light bulbs and at least one opening at the second end. The socket includes a conductor that places a light bulb into electrical contact with electrical wires inserted through the side of the socket. The assembly also includes a base attached to the second end of the socket. The base includes a wire clamp that fits through the opening in the second end of the socket and holds the electrical wires in contact with the conductor. Retaining clips on the base apply a retaining force against the socket to hold the base in place. A neodymium disc magnet is embedded in the base, thereby allowing the assembly to be mounted magnetically to metal surfaces.
Abstract:
A lamp assembly (20) includes a ceramic metal halide lamp (22) mounted in a reflector (60) with support assembly (62). First frame portions (64) of the support assembly (which include linear first portions (64a), angled second portions (64b), and offset portions (64c)) are bent approximately ninety degrees at one end and merge into second frame portions (66) that extend parallel to the lamp. The arrangement supports the light source in the PAR lamp in a transverse manner. In a second embodiment, the frame portions (62') extend along either side of the light source to accurately position the light source relative to the reflector.
Abstract:
A bulb retainer device for use with bulbs such as halogen burner bulbs on vehicles subject to vibration and oscillation. The bulb has a flat burner glass press area and a receptacle is used for mounting the bulb in position to function as a light. A one piece metal sheet bulb retainer is mounted on the receptacle. The retainer has a circular drawn cup in its surface for slidably mounting the retainer on the receptacle. The retainer further has a plurality of arcuate fingers in the cup and sized to engage the bulb flat burner glass press area to restrain movement thereof. The preferred number of fingers is four and the retainer is fixedly mounted on the retainer after assembly.
