Eine Sprühdüse (1) weist in einem Düsengehäuse (2) einen Dosierraum (10) auf, in den ein Trennmittel einführbar ist, wobei das Volumen des Dosierraums (10) über ein Dosierglied (9) veränderbar ist. In die Sprühdüse (1) ist eine aktive Entlüftungseinheit integriert, die über eine Aktuierungsgroße selbsttätig von einer Außerfunktions- in eine Entlüftungs- und Öffnungsposition verstellbar ist.

A liquid delivery system (106) includes a source of hydraulic fluid (502) and a hydraulic cylinder (114) fluidically coupled to the source of hydraulic fluid (502) and having a hydraulic piston (224) movable between first and second limit positions. The liquid delivery system (106) includes a rod (210) connected to the piston and extending out of the hydraulic cylinder (114) and a sensor device (204, 206) located outside the hydraulic cylinder (114) and configured to sense a position of the rod (210) and to generate a signal indicating the sensed position. The liquid delivery system (106) includes a liquid cylinder comprising a liquid piston, operably driven by the rod (210), to pump a liquid along a flow path to a fluid applicator (518).

A painting device (10) for a paint sprayer (102) with a spray gun and a nozzle (110) connected to the spray gun. The painting device (10) comprises: a shroud (20) for shielding the nozzle of the paint sprayer, the shroud (20) having an inlet opening (22) for locating the nozzle in an interior of the shroud and an opposing outlet opening (24) for applying paint to a surface to be painted; and roller means (40, 42) mounted on or attached to the shroud (20), the roller means being configured to engage with the surface to be painted for supporting the shroud of the painting device for rolling movement over the surface with the outlet opening positioned substantially adjacent to the surface to be painted. The shroud (20) is configured for attachment of the paint sprayer (102) such that the spray gun connects to the nozzle (110) at or through the inlet opening (22) and the nozzle is fixed in the interior to substantially direct paint sprayed therefrom through the outlet opening (24). Also provided is a painting apparatus (100) comprising a painting device (10) and a paint sprayer (102). The shroud (20) of the painting device (10) is attached to the paint sprayer (102) such that the spray gun connects to the nozzle (110) through the inlet opening (22) and the nozzle (110) is fixed in the interior to substantially direct paint sprayed therefrom through the outlet opening (24).

A liquid delivery system (900) is presented. The liquid delivery system (900) comprises a source of fluid coupled to an outlet. The liquid delivery system also includes a hydraulic cylinder (912) coupled to the source of fluid. The hydraulic cylinder has a piston (914) movable between a first limit position and a second limit position during an operational cycle. The hydraulic cylinder (912) is configured to pressurize fluid received from the source of fluid, and deliver the pressurized fluid to the outlet. The liquid delivery system (900) also comprises a rod connected to the piston and extending out of the cylinder. The liquid delivery system (900) also comprises a sensor (916) configured to sense a position of the rod to provide a signal indication of the piston (914) with respect to the first position or the second position. An indication of the sensed position is provided to a controller (920), and the controller (920) is configured to send a control signal to initiate a normal operation loop based on the sensed position.
