    Abstract: The invention relates to compressing methods combined with casting and is used for producing products having a specified chemical content and length. The inventive method is the most close to an existing liquid metal forging (compressing) method consisting in pouring liquid metal in a metal reservoir (container), moving pasty metal from the metal reservoir to a die, crystallising metal, compressing a casting (ingot) and in extracting said casting from the die together with a extrusion discard. (See the patent RF N DEG 2033309, cl.B22D 18/02, published in 1995). The aim of said invention is to produce products having a required length and to reduce recirculating waste metal. The aim is achieved by the fact that for the inventive compressing method consisting in pouring liquid metal in a container and in crystallising said metal for producing an ingot, a container provided with a sleeve is used. Prior to casting, a die is arranged on one end of said sleeve, the other end being provided with a compression ram. When the ingot is produced, it is formed into a product with the aid of said compression ram. Afterwards, The compression ram is displaced to the sleeve end and filled with new portion of liquid metal. Said portion of liquid metal is crystallised and welded to the extrusion discard of the previous compressing in such a way that they are formed in one piece which is then formed into the same product. The longitudinal section of a device for carrying out said method is shown; on Fig. 2-view A on Fig. 1; on Fig. 3-view B on Fig. 1. The inventive device for carrying out said method comprises a container (1) provided with the sleeve (2), a die (3), a compression ram (4), a pressure plate (5) and a pouring channel (7). The extrusion discard, liquid metal and a final product are denoted on Fig 1 by positions 8, 9, and 10, respectively. The inventive method makes it possible to produce an article (tube, rod, wire, profile etc) having a required length up to several kilometres, reduce metal waste and decrease the energy consumption for metal-forming production process.
