    Abstract: Integrated Suspension and Clearance Assembly and Agricultural Machine with such An integrated suspension and clearance assembly (23) for an agricultural machine is disclosed. The assembly comprising a wheel hub (22), a wheel hub attachment component (24) fixedly attachable to said wheel hub (22). A suspension component (30) is pivotally attached to said wheel hub attachment component (24) with one end (34), and a first clearance linkage (32) is attached to said wheel hub attachment component (24) with a first pivot (42) and with a second pivot (44) to another end (46) of said suspension component (30). A second clearance linkage (48) is fixedly attachable to an agricultural machine frame (12) and comprises a pivot end (52) attached to a third pivot (56) of said first clearance linkage (32). The assembly further comprises a telescopic cylinder (58) with one end (60) fixedly attached to said first clearance linkage (32) and with another end (64) pivotally attached to said second clearance linkage (48), wherein, said telescopic cylinder (58) is variably retracting and extending to change pivotal positions of said first clearance linkage (32) and said second clearance linkage (48) relative to each other to raise and lower an agricultural machine frame (12) relative to said wheel hub (22) for variable ground clearance during agricultural operations and, wherein, at the same time, movements and/or vibrations between said wheel hub (22) and an agricultural machine frame (12) can be damped or suspended hydraulically with said suspension component (30).

    Abstract: The disclosed subject matter relates to a suspension system for use on a vehicle that includes a knuckle, a first trailing arm structure, a second trailing arm structure, an upper arm structure, and a lower arm structure. The first trailing arm structure and second trailing arm structure can be configured to extend in a frontward direction from the knuckle to a connection at a forward portion of a vehicle frame. The upper and lower arm structures can be configured to extend substantially transversely with respect to the vehicle longitudinal axis and connect to a rearward portion of the vehicle frame. The second trailing arm structure can cross underneath the lower arm structure as viewed from a direction normal to a plane defined by the central axis and horizontal axis of the knuckle, such that the second trailing arm structure is located closer to the travel surface of the vehicle than the lower arm structure at a location where the second trailing arm structure crosses underneath the lower arm structure.

    Abstract: A suspension system including a vehicle chassis and an axle assembly. The axle assembly includes at least one axle positionable substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. Two trailing arms are each supported relative to the vehicle chassis and pivotally coupled with the axle assembly. The suspension system also includes at least one pivotal link. A first pivotal connection pivotally secures the pivotal link relative to the chassis and defines a first pivot axis and a second pivotal connection couples the pivotal link to a trailing arm and defines a second pivot axis. An adjustment mechanism is engaged with the pivotal link wherein movement of the adjustment mechanism repositions the pivotal link about the first pivot axis. Pivotal movement of the pivotal link about the first pivot axis longitudinally repositions the second pivot axis and thereby adjusts an angular position of the axle relative to the longitudinal axis.

    Abstract: A suspension system (12) for vehicle (10) includes a support structure (18) of a wheel (14) having a forward rolling axis. The suspension system (12) includes a first link (20) rotatably secured at an inner end (40) to the vehicle (10, 42) and in communication with the support structure (18) of the wheel (14) at an outer end (34). The suspension system (12) includes a second link (22) rotatably secured at an inner end (44) to the vehicle (10, 42) and in communication with the support structure (18) of the wheel (14) at an outer end (36). The system also includes a shock absorber (24) having a first end (50) in communication with one of the first link (20) or the second link (22) and a second end (48) rotatably secured to the vehicle (10, 42). The shock absorber (24) is compressible to allow the support structure (18) of the wheel (14) to absorb impact forces imparted thereto during the travel. The shock absorber (24) is located along a longitudinal axis of the vehicle (10).
