An apparatus, and method for laying up structural filaments. The apparatus includes an openable race providing a circular path for a carrier bearing a filament source. The carrier moves circumferentially within the race and may be formed as a centerless wheel. The carrier may be formed in sections to facilitate opening of the race to insert a workpiece.

The present invention relates to an apparatus for laying a material sheet on a number of cylindrical bodies, for example sleeves of paperboard or the like, which are employed within, int.al. the papermaking industry for winding a manufactured paper web, sheet web or the like, a conveyor being disposed to advance the cylindrical bodies in the longitudinal direction thereof to, past and away from a unit for supplying a material web to the bodies, and the conveyor being divided into at least two sections, of which the one is disposed to displace the cylindrical bodies in their longitudinal direction up to connection with the end of the preceding body, and of which the second section is disposed to positively rotate the cylindrical bodies about their longitudinal axis and displace the cylindrical bodies in the direction of their longitudinal axis during application of the material web, with the desired spacing between the edges of the applied material web.

A tool (1) for mounting a set of helical rods (2) around an elongated central core, comprising a pair of cartridges (100, 100') configured to hold the rods (2) and configured to be mounted opposite each other around the central core, so that the rods extend along the central core, each cartridge comprising: - a first part (101) comprising a through-hole for receiving at least one of said rods, - a second part (102) comprising a through-hole for receiving at least another one of said rods, the second part being movable with respect to the first part from an open position to a closed position. In the closed position, the parts form an annular body extending around a central opening for receiving the central core, the through-holes being arranged around the central opening, the cartridge comprising a surface (107, 107') configured to engage with a driving wheel or a driving belt for transfer of torque to the cartridge. In the open position, a gap is provided between the parts so that the central opening is accessible from a position radially outside of the cartridge.

Навивочная машина для навивки волоконно-оптического кабеля на несущий элемент с навитыми на него оптическими кабелями или без них, отличается тем, что задняя опора прикреплена к раме без возможности вращения относительно нее и выполнена в виде разъемной конструкции, имеющей, по меньшей мере, две части, одна из которых жестко прикреплена к раме, а другая прикреплена к раме так, что позволяет раскрываться опоре для установки машины на несущий элемент и закрываться с фиксацией для охвата несущего элемента с навитыми на него кабелями или без них поверхностью в виде внутренней части поверхности кольца, а устройство натяжения кабеля в полном составе находится внутри барабана катушки.

A device and method for repairing or strengthening a pipeline is provided wherein a repair chemical such as epoxy and sheet material such as fibre glass are wound around the pipeline (4) being repaired. The device comprises an enclosure A containing a repair chemical application (21) and a sheet material supply (11) mounted on a carriage (16) which can be rotated around the pipeline.
