    Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and a device for setting of the transport length at working machines, comprising a driving means with a feed wheel for a pair of feed tongs, a first and a second stop for the pair of feed tongs, whereas the feed wheel (25) is set in start position (zero position) according to a marking at the wheel, a moveable shaft (8) provided in the first stop is displaced parallel with the movement of the pair of feed tongs to contact with the lower portion (3) of the pair of feed tongs by turning of the set knob (13) and the fine set knob (20) and that a second moveable shaft (7) provided in the second stop is displaced parallel to the movement of the pair of feed tongs to contact with the lower portion (3) of the pair of feed tongs whereupon the desired transport length is set by displacement of the shaft (7) by turning of the set knob (22) and the fine set knob (29).

    Abstract: Apparatus to facilitate the insertion, alignment, and bending of metal sheets (100) in a press brake machine (2) is described herein. Automated insertion of properly aligned sheets (100) into a bending machine (2) can be accomplished using a press brake (2) that includes at least two press fingers (103) that act independently with respect to one another to determine whether the sheet (100) has been received by the respective finger (103). The fingers (103) are electrically coupled (via the sheet itself, for example) to a processor that communicates with a robot (1). As the robot (1) inserts the metal sheet (100) into the press brake (2), it adjusts the alignment of the sheet (100) until the sheet contacts the back planes (105) of both press fingers (103). An electrical connection is formed when the metal sheet (100) is received by the fingers (103) (which are maintained at a nominal potential of 24V). When electrical connections are formed with both fingers (103), the processor tells the robot (1) that the sheet (100) is aligned and bending of the sheet (100) can begin. Thus, each finger (103) acts as a sensing device to determine whether the sheet (100) is completely inserted and properly aligned in the press brake (2).
