본 발명은, 건설 공사를 위해 지반에 뚫린 천공홀의 일부에 공벽 확장하기 위해 사용하는 천공경 확장드릴에 있어서, 회전체의 축부에 상단이 힌지연결되며 상호 접철 가능한 접동날개들로 된 접동날개 어셈블리를 구비하고, 상기 접동날개들 각각에는 상면에 공벽절삭용 절삭비트들이 고정되며, 접동날개의 펼쳐올림과 접어내림을 제어하는 가동부재도 구비함으로써 천공홀의 일부에 지중 확공을 수행함과 동시에 지중 확공부의 형상을 그대로 유지할 수 있도록 해주어, 그 확공부에 콘크리트를 타설하여 압축말뚝 선단의 확대 기초부를 형성하거나 앵커나 인장말뚝의 고정 정착부를 형성할 수 있게 한다.

An undercutting tool for producing an undercut in a bore, the undercutting tool comprises a tool body, which can be at least partially inserted into the bore that is to be undercut, at least one wedge moveably attached to the tool body and having at least one cutting surface. The at least one wedge is displaced outwardly by centrifugal force due to rotation of the undercutting tool. The at least one cutting surface is adapted to cut into the bore that is to be undercut as the at least one wedge is displaced outwardly.

Expandable reamers for enlarging wellbores include a tubular body and one or more blades configured to extend and retract. A sleeve member within the tubular body has open ends to allow fluid to flow therethrough. A fluid port extends through a wall of the sleeve member. A restriction member within the sleeve is movable between first and second positions. In the first position, fluid flow through the downhole end of the sleeve is generally unimpeded, and fluid flow through the fluid port is generally impeded. In the second position, fluid flow through the downhole end of the sleeve member is generally impeded, and fluid flow through the fluid port is generally unimpeded. The restriction member may be configured to move responsive to changes in the rate of fluid flow through the sleeve member. Methods of using such reamers are also disclosed.

The invention relates to an overdrilling head (1) for displacing ground surrounding a pipe, comprising an elongated base body (2) that is suitable for at least partially embracing the pipe to be overdrilled and has a front end (3) and a back end (4). At the back end, a connecting means (5) is provided for connecting the base body (2) to an element of a heading work, with which the overdrilling head (1) can be driven forward. At the front end (3), a front surface optionally comprising a plurality of individual surfaces (6, 7, 8, 9) is provided, extending from a rear part of the front surface, in which at least one point (P1) on the front surface is located on a first plane (E1) that is arranged perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the base body, to a front part of the front surface, in which at least one point on the front surface is located on a second plane (E2) arranged perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the base body. In the longitudinal direction (L) of the base body, the second plane (E2) is located further forward than the first plane (E1), and the point (P1) in which a line originating from the connecting means and disposed parallel to the longitudinal axis of the base body intersects the front surface is not located on the second plane (E2).

A well perforating gun having stress relieved scallops. A well perforating gun includes a gun body having at least one scallop formed in a sidewall of the gun body. At least one stress relief element, such as a radius or chamfer, is formed between the scallop and an outer surface of the gun body. The stress relief element may extend in a plane which extends longitudinally or laterally relative to the gun body, and may intersect a centerline of the scallop. The stress relief element reduces stress in the gun body due to a pressure increase in the interior of the gun body.

Methods and systems for controlling movement of a bit of a drilling assembly during reaming of an already- drilled hole; the methods, in certain aspects, including determining a ream speed for downward movement of the bit in the hole, moving the bit downward in a hole at said ream speed, determining a time period for deceleration of the bit to the hole bottom, determining a value for a target drilling parameter for drilling beyond the bottom of the hole, decelerating the bit (linearly or non- linearly) for the time period, and achieving the value for the target drilling parameter when the bit reaches the bottom of the hole .

A system and method for downhole measurement for use with drill strings to reduce the borehole gap with respect to sensors carried by the drill string. In one embodiment, the sensors (31) are mounted on a surface of the directional drilling hinged pad (40) that comes in contact with the borehole wall. The hinged pad is pressed against the borehole wall as contact is made with the wall, thereby keeping the sensors at a minimum gap with respect to the wall. In another embodiment, the hinged pad is not used for directional drilling. Therefore the hinged pad is extended outward to the wall with the minimum necessary amount of force.

Bei einem Verfahren zum Abbau von untertägigen Lagerstätten mit einer Gewinnungsmaschine , bei welchem eine obere (1) und eine untere Abbaustrecke (2) aufgefahren werden, welche beiderseits der abzubauenden Lagerstätte liegen, und zwischen diesen beiden Abbaustrecken (1,2) eine vorläufige Bohrung (3) niedergebracht wird, wird an der Mündung der vorläufigen Bohrung in der oberen Abbaustrecke (1) eine Stützvorrichtung (4) festgelegt. An der Mündung der vorläufigen Bohrung (3) wird eine sich an der Stütz Vorrichtung (4) abstützende Gewinnungsmaschine (5) in Längsrichtung der vorläufigen Bohrung (3) ausgerichtet positioniert und die Gewinnungsmaschine (5) wird entsprechend dem Verlauf der vorläufigen Bohrung (3) von der oberen Abbaustrecke (1) zur unteren Abbaustrecke (2) vorgetrieben.

A drilling apparatus (10) for earth boring operations is of the type having cutter blades (17, 18) mounted on a support body (12, 72, 82) at the lower end of a drill string and includes a novel arrangement of fluid bore sections (15, 23, 23', 63, 64, 65', 92) for delivering fluid under pressure into fluid discharge passages (50, 52) in each of the blades and a bifurcated pivotal mounting portion (16, 74, 91) on the body which enables the bore sections to supply fluid to the cutter blades through a ball joint (22) on the pivotal axis. Modified forms of invention are specifically designed for cutter blades which are intended to perform reaming operations but include the fluid delivery system as well as an extended delivery system (86) for delivering fluid under pressure to other tools in the drill string.
