Abstract:
Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to indication of data transmission configuration. A method comprises in response to determining that data is to be transmitted, a first device generates a first indication indicating at least a part of a configuration to be used for the transmission of the data and transmits the data and the first indication to a second device. The second device determines the data from the data packets based on the first indication. In this way, the configuration used for the transmission of the data can be indicated by the first device to the second device, and the second device is allowed to immediately decode the received data packets, and the latency of communication is reduced.
Abstract:
Disclosed are methods for a random access procedure. An example method may include transmitting a random access request to perform a random access procedure, starting a random access response window, and performing at least one of: being in an active time while the random access response window is running, and starting at least one discontinuous reception timer when receiving a PDCCH transmission addressed to a RNTI. Related apparatuses and computer readable media are also disclosed.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to reporting preconfigured uplink transmission failure. According to embodiments of the present disclosure, the terminal device logs failures associated with transmission on the preconfigured resources and failure causes. The terminal device transmits the logged information to the network device. In this way, the network device is aware of the failure occurrences and their reasons. The network device is able to use the information for configuring uplink resources more efficiently and the resources can be efficiently allocated for other purpose or other terminal devices.
Abstract:
A technique is provided for selecting a cell in a wireless network to send a report, the technique including: selecting, by a user device, a cell based on different cell selection criteria for different reporting, including: selecting, by the user device based on a first cell selection criteria, a cell to perform normal reporting; and selecting, by the user device based on a second cell selection criteria that is different from the first cell selection criteria, a cell to perform exception reporting; and sending, by the user device via the selected cell, a report including either a normal report or an exception report.
Abstract:
The present discloses a device, method, apparatus and computer readable storage medium of scheduling request (SR) and random access (RA) triggering for small data transmission (SDT). In example embodiments, a terminal device receives, from a network device, a configuration of one or more configured grant (CG) resources for a SDT procedure and a list of one or more data radio bearers (DRBs) associated with respective logical channels (LCHs) allowed for SDT over at least one of the one or more CG resources. After the terminal device initiates the SDT procedure in an inactive mode, if the terminal determines that a buffer status report (BSR) is triggered, the terminal device determines whether a configuration of a SR mask is to be applied for a LCH configured for SDT.
Abstract:
Example embodiments of the present disclosure relate to devices, methods, apparatuses and computer readable storage media for parameter update for a connection resume attempt. In example embodiments, a terminal device in an inactive mode obtains one or more updated parameters by updating one or more currently configured parameters based on an update pattern. The terminal device in the inactive mode initiates a connection resume attempt using the one or more updated parameters.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to methods, devices, apparatuses, and computer readable medium for small data transmission (SDT). A first device, in response to first data to be transmitted via a SDT corresponding to a first set of resources for a random access procedure and a second set of resources for a configured grant procedure, determine a target resource for at least a part of the first data based on a logical channel restriction on the SDT; and transmit, to a second device, at least the part of the first data on the target resource. In this way, the SDT procedure can be performed with logical channel restrictions, which allows a better isolation of services through specific resource selection. The communication efficiency and network performance can also be improved.
Abstract:
Example embodiments of the present disclosure relate to devices, methods, apparatuses and computer readable storage media of data transmission with security parameters. The method comprises: receiving, from a second device, a first plurality of parameters associated with a connection resume procedure between the first device and the second device; in accordance with a determination that the connection resume procedure is to be performed, transmitting, in the inactive state and to the second device, a request for connection resume, the request comprising one or more of the first plurality of parameters; and performing the connection resume procedure with the second device. In this way, the terminal device is capable of triggering non-SDT procedure when the SDT procedure is ongoing.
Abstract:
Example embodiments of the present disclosure relate to transmission in a small data transmission mode. A first device selects, based on a mode selection configuration, a small data transmission mode to be initiated from a plurality of small data transmission modes. The second device determines selection of a small data transmission mode to be initiated by a first device from a plurality of small data transmission modes. The first device performs a small data transmission procedure with the second device according to the selected small data transmission mode. Through this solution, a suitable SDT mode is selected based on the predetermined or predefined mode selection configuration.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to devices, methods, apparatuses and computer readable storage media of state transition reporting. The method comprises: determining, at a first device, a DRX configuration for a second device in an inactive state, the second device located within an area served by one or more devices comprising the first device; determining configuration information based at least in part on the DRX configuration; and transmitting, to a third device of a core network, the configuration information to cause the third device to adjust downlink transmissions for the second device. The core network can determine when the UE is reachable and adjust transmissions associated with paging accordingly. As such, a longer eDRX cycle can be achieved without increasing buffering burden at the RAN.
